This album is what taylor swift should be doing in country music, it´s feels like something familiar, but it´s fresh.
One of the best country albums of this year

An album more alike to pop than country, with a few twangs here and there. Melodic sing-along choruses and nice production, it can improve in the songwriting part. Some sections are reminiscent of Taylor Swift's Fearless, a clear influence. Stand-out tracks: "Miss Me More", "Roses", "I Hate Love Songs", "Music" and "Legends".

A great sophomore album that shows growth from the first album. A nice mixture of classic country midtempo sound from songs like In Between and High School. But also really great pop-country infusions like Miss Me More and Get Over Yourself. This is a solid album and a really great representation of Kelsea's direction as an artist.

Nostalgia and acoustic guitar haze dampen the bite of "High School" and "Legends," but the over-you snaps of "Get Over Yourself" find her once again shooting at the walls of heartbreak. And her aim is true.

Every number is given a slick electronic gloss that pushes it in the direction of adult contemporary MOR. Far from being a detriment, however, that's the strength of Unapologetically: It remains vibrant and fresh even though it sounds measured and mature.

Unapologetically gains in strength as it goes along, mirroring Ballerini’s push away from a particular lover and towards the welcoming arms of a new beau.
