"Will" is not the best album by Julianna Barwick, but it's for sure her best effort to create something new and innovative. With the great "Nepenthe" we felt the same vibes from her previous works, but nothing new. "Will" arrives with new shapes and views from her own music. She brings synths and electronic layers in association with her amazing singing style. That's worth.

Every album she creates in out of this world and this one has its own magic in it. Julianna's music is not for everyone, but if you loved any of her previous work, you'll love this one too for sure.

Barwick continues to refine and expand her particularly gorgeous and idiosyncratic sound.

This music took time, precision, intuition, will. But it is the same. It doesn’t demand reverence, but its immense power might go null if not for the voidless silence that could introduce it, carry it like a medium into your every day everyday.

Through pre-programming, Barwick loses the human frailty and imperfection that exists in a world beyond our control. Intended to be performed live, the ambiguous and ethereal compositions of Will should evolve over time--a feat not possible given the finite structure of Barwick’s self-produced recording.
