The array of styles that are spliced together--space rock, electronica, trip-hop, orchestral flourishes--fail to add up to a cohesive whole. [Sep 2012, p.97]

The range of influences on the album ensures this is a rather uneven listen, unhelped by the cast of vocalists.

'With Us Until You're Dead' is an example of the amazing ability of the band members to create a project that doesn't hesitate to go through different phases and styles. The theme of violence stands out particularly throughout this project and thus appears to be in strong contrast to the theme of silence, peace and calm. Archive tends to demonstrate this ambivalence with a beginning of the album with very fast, aggressive rhythms, counterbalanced afterwards (in the second half) by soft sounds and more pleasant voices. Anyway, the final result is very close to a heady and surprising musical fresco. Full Review »
