    This album doesn’t have a single bad song. When you listen, The Weeknd takes you to his world. The vocals and production are incredible. After Hours is easily album of the year.

    This man is so talented, vocally and lyrically. really enjoyed this album and songs such as snowchild, faith, escape from LA and hardest to love are so beautiful that make this album go from a 8/9 rating to a 10. Abel never disappoints, even though his sound changes, he kinda came back to his roots in this album which i’m soooo happy about - i have been a fan of his for a long time

    The Weeknd delivers back to back 10/10 pop albums with After Hours. I really didn't think, that Abel would be able to make a pop album as good as Starboy - but he really did. The production, the vocal delivery and overall vibe on this album makes this a classic pop album. And Abel now has two of them.

    In three words- this is it. Every album he made so far, every personality. It all makes sense here. We still have 9 more years but AH is an easy contender for best album of the decade. Abel has never been this creative and real. Ever. This album is just different from anything else available today. Abel is anxious, tired, alone. Every song, even when some lyrics fall short , is a piece in a tale of emotions and pain that you simply cannot stop feeling the protagonist of.     The best album of 2020 without a doubt, today is the 1st anniversary and I'm still trapped in the story of the red suit guy. The Weekend's voice and the production still give me chills in some moments of that night in Vegas.

With him bringing back the vibes I had when listening to his early works like trilogy and kiss land, even while keeping the flow he has today on the album. Those are just about the only two songs that are not that good for this album. The other songs are very well produced and written. One of the best songs on the album is the title track "After Hours".

    The song is the longest on the album but there isn't any part of the song that feels dragged. It's very well produced and written. The song isn't repetitive. The beat tells a story along with the song. A lot of the beats on this album also tells a story rather than being a beat that Weeknd sings to. Overall, this is a very good album and it shows how the Weeknd improved with his songwriting and storytelling.    … Expand

    After Hours is dark - DARK. There is no doubt that Abel Tesafaye is one of the best artists of our generation. Even more surprising that he collaborated with Daniel Lopatin aka Oneohtrix Point Never the composer that scored the Safdie Bros' Good Time starring Robert Pattinson and their arrhythmic masterpiece Uncut Gems starring Adam Sandler. The Weeknd is definitely going to new places alright!

    د ویکند بعد مدت ها سکوت, تونست یک آلبوم با کانسپ عالی بده بیرون برعکس استاربوی مثل پلی لیست اسپاتیفای شده بود.تنها ضعف آلبوم میکس بعضی از آهنگ ها بود.ولی آلبوم سینت پاپ فوق العاده که ایراد جزیی داشت.

    This The Weeknd’s best album, his darkest work to date and probably one of the best albums of 2020 so far. Almost flawless production, mixed with great vocals, raw and dark lyrics.
    The contrast between the heavy synthpop base and his delicate voice is incredible.
    “After Hours” is by far his best song.
    The only exception in this sublime album is “Snowchild”, the only mediocre song.

The songs flow well between them, the writing and vocals are also really good! Even if some of the melodies, the more you listen to them, the more you realize they are similar, most of the songs remain cohesive and coherent to the main topic of Abel's feelings.This album was amazing, it exceeded all my expectations. As the instrumental starts in "Alone Again" he states that he's taking off his disguise, that he's living someone else's life, around Hadid. And as soon as that lyric was uttered I was enthralled by thisAfter Hours is the newest studio album from Abel Tesfaye otherwise known as The Weeknd. This album was made after Tesfaye breakup with model Bella Hadid, as pointed out by many news sites. As the instrumental starts in "Alone Again" he states that he's taking off his disguise, that he's living someone else's life, around Hadid. And as soon as that lyric was uttered I was enthralled by this album from the get-go. The way Tesfaye croons over these trap beats; you can hear the heartbreak in his voice, and that struggle he feels to get his feelings out of his mouth. Now a lot of people who've listened to only Starboy will say that all of The Weeknds songs sound the same. So the fair question to ask when listening is "do these songs blend together?" And I definitely think they do not, The Weeknd maintains the theme throughout the album, without sounding like he copy pasted two songs. And while a lot of the songs sound very fresh and smooth, some of my issues with this album lie in the tracks "Snowchild", and "Escape From L.A." I feel as though if you just listened to these tracks off this record and no other tracks, you would probably think that this is just another Weeknd copy pasta. Not saying that the songs aren't good, I just felt that these tracks were a tiny bit disappointing considering the songs that came before them. On that note, some of my favorites from the album included, "Scared To Live", "Hardest to Love", "Too Late", "In Your Eyes", and "Save Your Tears". I enjoyed nearly every song on this album though. This album most definitely lived up to the hype ahead of it's release, and The Weeknd very much earns his 9/10… Expand

    I think this album is near perfect, it sounds so raw and all the songs are catchy in their own way, it could either be his best or second best after trilogy. But this to me is the best R&B album of the year.

    Some of his previous albums tended to have disjointed production and lyrical themes. Listening to the albums as a whole didn't feel like a smooth experience. However, this album is nearly flawless when listening from start to finish. The tight, solid 80's-inspired production really ties it all together. Definitely a contender so far for album of the year.

There is only one skip on this album and it was ‘Snowchild’ that song was very underwhelming and it just didn’t fit the sound of the rest of the album in my opinion.     Genius. The Weeknd's 4th studio album, "After Hours" is a tremendous blessing to 2020. Production & songwriting are flawless, every song gives off a nostalgic, feel-good vibe, and his expressions through song leave you in awe.

    I do have to admit, though, that I wasn't very impressed by the last few tracks. And this "alter ego" he's putting on is not really pleasing to the eye.    Genius. The Weeknd's 4th studio album, "After Hours" is a tremendous blessing to 2020. Production & songwriting are flawless, every song gives off a nostalgic, feel-good vibe, and his expressions through song leave you in awe.

    I do have to admit, though, that I wasn't very impressed by the last few tracks. And this "alter ego" he's putting on is not really pleasing to the eye. Nonetheless, I was impressed by everything else and will definitely keep on singing the chorus of "Blinding Lights" whenever I see lights in the dark throughout the rest of the year. 8 out of 10!

    EDIT: I have decided after 1 & 1/2 weeks to update this review and bump up this album to a 9 out of 10. 2 of the 3 things I stated in that last paragraph did not last for long. I truly am super impressed with what The Weeknd has done with this unique LP. The alter ego still is a bit unsettling, but it really mixes deliciously (sorry lol) with the sound of each track. The music videos are also pretty great too.

    You don't exactly see every artist expressing their true feelings in every piece of work nor giving it their all. And Abel Tesfaye does exactly that with "After Hours". One of the best albums of the year. Incredibly well done. (be aware, i might even bump this up to a 10!)    … Expand

    Is your best album in terms of production, but some songs like "In your eyes" and "Hardest to love" is very simple for an artist like The Weeknd. He have a lot of potential to make incredible songs and not weak songs like I already mentioned. But overall is a great album.

    The Weeknd’s most cohesive body of work. After Hours doesn’t only contain different genres but also different storylines that still can easily be put in into a whole storyline throughout the album. Abels intention to concentrate on the sound in the first songs on the album (,,Alone Again’’ , ,,Too Late’’) worked very good and was a good contrast to the soft pop songs ,,Hardest To Love’’The Weeknd’s most cohesive body of work. After Hours doesn’t only contain different genres but also different storylines that still can easily be put in into a whole storyline throughout the album. Abels intention to concentrate on the sound in the first songs on the album (,,Alone Again’’ , ,,Too Late’’) worked very good and was a good contrast to the soft pop songs ,,Hardest To Love’’ and ,,Scared To Live’’ who showcased abels voice and are songs that I wouldn’t have expected him to do. Although I think that some songs can be considered as skips I feel like some songs are overproduced even though it might’ve been the intention. It’s still a solid 9 in my opinion and I rather have such an diverse album that will end up being a classic then another trap-pop record like starboy.… Expand

    Not being bias here as a fan of Abel, but this is one of his best work since House of Balloons. Amazing productions, vocals, and lyrics aswell. I feel like the only problem with this album was that 3 part section of 80s production on tracks 9-11. Even though they're both good tracks standing by themselves, it can get repetitive listening to those tracks in order. Overall, this album is oneNot being bias here as a fan of Abel, but this is one of his best work since House of Balloons. Amazing productions, vocals, and lyrics aswell.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I liked Starboy and Beauty behind the madness, i think both are good albums so i was very hyped for After hours and it didn't disappointed me. We have some amazing pop tracks like In your eyes and the lead single Blinding Lights, and some emotional and melancholic tracks like after hours, they fit very well and you feel that everything its on its perfect spot making this album and unbelievable experience. The ambientation is the best thing of it, it really put you into that story that its being told, 9/10 nothing to complain about it, simply perfect.… Expand

    I don't care what anyone says. Even tho I love mixtape weeknd. Personally, this is my favorite weeknd album. It's amazing and will be a certified classic in 20 years.

    It's a good album with the good concept, it has the combination of the 1980s and the modern R&B, while "In Your Eyes" and "Save Your Tears" has a synth wave and disco vibe of the 1980s, "Escape from LA" and "Snow Child" have the modern trap vibe and some tracks like "Too Late" or "After Hour" has an amazing production by its complex layers, Worth to give it a chance

    I never was a fan of The Weeknd, I've heard some of his songs on the radio, however I wasn't way too impressed by any of it. Then I heard Blinding Lights and Heartless last January. I got hooked instantly. When the album dropped, I listened through the entire thing. Then I did it again, and again and again. This album is great, a wonderful throwback album.     Really a 8. 5 or a light 9 or a strong 8.whatever. It's all the same, but in overall, good. It's the only Who can make this type of 80s music and dont feel pastiche. Mark Fisher will be a little proud of us

    This album is a honest 8.6 great work by Abel
    He's done very well on this lp and I know everyone that has listened to this can say the same thing it has many high moments on this top also has a little lows maybe but most of time everything runs smoothly it sounds good and most of all it gets you all bundled up with pure emotions that you cannot help from giving it many more listens .

    Love the aesthetic, the cohesiveness, the sound and the lyrics. He is such an amazing artist. But I missed vocals. He is such a good singer. Sometimes, the songs are extremely similar to each other. Still, such a really good project.

    This is such an amazing album, the talent is unreal. Definitely on my top 5 albums this year.

    I want to give it a 7.5/10 but that's not possible, so I'll stick with an 8.

    "After Hours" é mais um incrível álbum lançado esse ano, com influencias dos anos 80 e 90, misturando o R&B, synth-pop, trap, eletrônico com nu-disco, retro e alternativo. é composto por um grupo de produtores maravilhosos como Illangelo, Oscar Holter, Max Martin, Metro Boomin e entre outros, essa trabalho é um tanto diferente do que já ouvi do The Weekend, porem não decepciona nem um"After Hours" é mais um incrível álbum lançado esse ano, com influencias dos anos 80 e 90, misturando o R&B, synth-pop, trap, eletrônico com nu-disco, retro e alternativo. é composto por um grupo de produtores maravilhosos como Illangelo, Oscar Holter, Max Martin, Metro Boomin e entre outros, essa trabalho é um tanto diferente do que já ouvi do The Weekend, porem não decepciona nem um pouco. o cantor é capaz de expressar as emoções através da sua voz, criando uma certa harmonia entre as faixas e a produção geral do disco. estou encantado com esse trabalho que já é característico do Abel e um dos melhores representantes da estética da disco music dos últimos tempos.
