With Pretty Savage talking about how they are just that, "pretty" and "savage" that one can try but they can't amount to them (did they lie?), their lovesick girls track which is also the title track for "THE ALBUM" which portrays a love that should come to an end but they're too in love to allow that to happen, despite them being hurt over and over, with stand out lyrics like "we were born to be alone, but why we still looking for love" also including rap from the two rappers Lisa and Jennie. An emotional track like "You Never Know" which allowed the quartet to be vulnerable and open up to just how tough the industry is and how people will never truly understand them. The album deserves a solid 10/10. Not a single skip.Though are we surprised? This is BLACKPINK after all.… Expand

    I’ve been anticipating this album for a while now, and you can tell how much work the girls put into the album. The vocals, production, etc on this album are immaculate. There are honestly no skips. Though I was disappointed with the number of tracks on this album before release, I honestly don’t mind now after listening to the whole album.     Just listened to it and blackpink was really impressive here I like all the songs. The production, lyrics, and flow is really amazing especially their voices it's really good. Lovesick girls is so good too I'm not even a fan but I'm starting to consider stanning them now. Deserved 10/10

    The wait was totally worth it. Although short for a full album, I appreciated all the songs. The members have so much chemistry together and we definitely saw an improvement in their artistry. Rosé’s magical voice is the top tier in this album. We already knew she was a talented vocalist but with this album, she’s the one who shined the most. That’s how powerful she is. And funny little note, I love how sometimes her Australian accent comes out. It’s so cute!
    The Queen of Rap is back. Blinks have been *impatiently* waiting for the queen, and when she comes she never disappoints. In terms of female kpop rappers, Jennie is undoubtedly the best one out there. Her rhythm, her tone and her swag are what all wannabe rappers wish they had. But not only does she thrive in rapping, she’s also a wonderful vocalist. Her notes so well done.
    Jisoo’s the one who stood out the most for me in this album. We all know she’s a wonderful vocalist and so under appreciated, but this album she threw me away. Her husky tone voice is so special in makes me feel so at ease every time her part comes out, especially in “You Never Know”. She’s usually the one who has the least lines, but this album we finally saw how great she can be when given an opportunity.
    Now we close with the maknae of the group, miss Lisa. My bias.. she wrecked me. In. Every. Single. Track. There’s something so special about her that many don’t have or wished they had. Her swag is out of this world every time she raps. She and Jennie are definitely the two best female, or should I say, rappers in general. Although I wished to hear more of Vocalist Lisa, the parts she sang were great. And she could even be mistaken as a Lead a vocalist. In conclusion, the wait was long. 4 years to be exact. Do I wish it had more songs? Yeah of course. But am I happy with what we got? HELL YAH. Is this album of year material? HELL YAHHHHHH. The girls outdid themselves with this album and i’m so happy to see them finally getting the recognition they so deserve after some many other fandoms hate targeted them. Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa, you guys are awesome so incredibly talented. Cant wait what you have in store for us in the future!    … Expand

    A true masterpiece. Every song is addictive and leaves you wanting to play it again and again. The BLACKPINK members constantly set the standard for girl groups by always coming back better than ever, and this comeback is no different. Definitely the most talented at what they do, BLACKPINK has left me craving for more music, and I absolutely cannot wait for their next release!

    I have never listened to a whole album and liking all the tracks. Each title track deserve an MV. Even as a fan, we get tired of same styles and same vibe however, this album exceeded all of our expectations as fans. It is definitely one of the best. GRAMMY worthy.

    I loved it!! But I also found that the negative user reviews were coming from fans of BTS. Interesting? But since anyone can pretty much stream it, don't take my word for it. Check it out. It is entirely refreshing. There is nothing like it out there. Blackpink always seems to amaze me. They are not like your typical Kpop group.
