Was expecting so much more for their first full album, turned out it only has 8 songs with 2 of them being pre-released singles. The songs are pretty generic, the only song i think is good is Pretty Savage. I looked up the lyrics and DEFINITELY not sth I expect, given that I rmb their fans said Blackpink has sth to do with woman empowerment...… Expand

    Song after song and nothing new. All their songs sound the same. Boring! Ice cream is atrocious. Lab created and no personality, I wonder if the girls even like these songs. Atleast they look beautiful

    This album is amazing, every single track has it's own flavor, every track differs from each other and the whole album represents blackpink on it's own.
    The Album is literally a masterpiece and no wonder everyone's drooling over it. Blackpink really brought something new and fresh to the table.

    The album is very good. The concepts of the songs are varied and complete. You can have strength and feel the sincere love in its lyrics. During my analysis of the mum, I found wonderful things and meanings concealed in it. Rap ​​was perfect. The vocals line was calm and strong.     "The Album" is in fact the album. All the songs are amazing with mind-blowing and swaggering productions. Few albums have liked me as much as this. It's addictive and life-changing for sure.

We can listen how much efford Blackpink members put into making this album as best as possible. This album gave me goosebumps during first listen.     I'm so happy with this album, it's the essence of BLACKPINK, TEDDY did very well too! happy that the girls were credited (until finally) they deserve too. vocals, the beats, all impeccable!!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The album is good. Its amazing but for the 4 years of waiting an album i can’t really say its truly worth my wait. Maybe i expected too much. But each track brings their own coolness and fun. ‘Pretty savage’ did sound like something they would do. The intro and the first verse was lit. A fan of more rap sure will like it. And then ‘you never know’ reminded me of ‘hope not’. The vibe was chill and emotional. Im not a fan of ‘bet you wanna’ its the song that i’ll probably listen less. ‘Love to hate me’ brings something new to the table. Other than that the rest were pretty good. To be honest i don’t see myself repeating any other songs than lovesick girls and love to hate me. Before even saying anything about the album you should check it out first. The album is good and maybe you’ll like it.… Expand

    This album is a refreshing reminder of the power of breaking stereotypes. The highs of this album (HYLT, Pretty Savage, Crazy Over You, Love To Hate Me) make up for the lows. (Ice Cream, Bet You Wanna) I really do hate that this album was so short, we were promised 10 songs and got 8 which may not feel like a lot but two songs can do a lot.     This album have 8 songs, and every single song are perfect. Totally art of work by BLACKPINK and YG Ent. I love the uniqueness in all of it. 8 songs itself have different genre i think. So addictive, and it's a masterpiece. Very very worth to buy.
