All We Need is a lot more powerful, and a heap more fun, when it aims for transcendence. [Dec 2015, p.112]

He is all messed up about a girl on Love Is Not a Four Letter Word and the keyboard fantasia of Her; songs about the planet and his mother also figure.

Raury’s spirit and intent are laudable, but his broad lyrics and potpourri musical approach need refining.

The strength of All We Need is in how he filters the madness into a slick, easy-flowing record. If one album changed his life, he’s taken that knowledge to make something intentionally cohesive.

At times, Raury’s energy is more intriguing than his songwriting, and while the lack of cynicism in his lyrics is refreshing, you can’t help but question his decision to play the pop preacher.

Like the EP, it frustrates almost as much as it charms, but Raury's energy is ceaselessly positive, and his potential is abundant.

Raury’s simple, yet passionate rap delivery doesn’t fare all that well when forced into shared space with established stars of the genre.

While it isn't perfect lyrically, it's definitely refreshing and experimental to say the least.
I can't wait to see Raury grow as an artist.

A melodic album of Hip-Hop/Folk and hints of electronica, bursting with originality. We only hope this will blaze the trail for other artists to follow, and at the young age of 19 we eagerly follow Raury through his career that is just beginning. Brilliant and inspiring. Full Review »
