The album is awful. Fall Out Boy has been losing quality throught the years and this time was not diferente. Irrestible and Fourth of July are just okay. The rest of it is lame! Fillers songs, with bad production and lyrics.

Fall Out Boy, in my opinion, have been dying since Infinity On High. That said, I still listened and relatively enjoyed that album and its follower. When Saving Rock & Roll came along I figured it couldn't get worse than this for the band. While still listenable, that album was still pretty bad. Then came the ironically titled American Beauty/ American Psycho (two anti materialisticFall Out Boy, in my opinion, have been dying since Infinity On High. While still listenable, that album was still pretty bad. Then came the ironically titled American Beauty/ American Psycho (two anti materialistic movies). I find none of these songs listenable. I find it kind of sad that FOB has to make references to other acts to evoke the slightest enjoyment of the album (The Kids Aren't Alright- The Offspring, Uma Thurman- Pulp Fiction, Jet Pack Blues- The Jetsons, Novocaine- Green Day, Favorite Record- A FOB that's worth a damn). I Wish they's do the whole original sound reboot thing. FOB (when they were good) is one of my favorite bands, but because of things like this I can't wear one of their shirts or anything like that. I'm not against going in a poppier direction, but don't sacrifice your quality (Panic! At The Disco is a fantastic example of this). I want the old FOB back. Expand

Absolutely not. No. I hate this, everything about this is reprehensible. The lyrics, the singing:everything. I shouldn't have listened to this knowing that i already have a low affinity for this particular genre but my friends liked it so i gave it a try and no . No.

  1. On the whole, American Beauty/American Psycho is Fall Out Boy's most consistent and bottom-line best album ever.

It's more ideation than practice, which is why the too-cluttered American Beauty/American Psycho won't be this band's American Idiot.

    It's an often thrilling listen. [17 Jan 2015, p.52]
