Stop rating it low, just for y'all's fave new album to go #1 here, when you haven't heard of this album. Textbook, the first song in the album, talks about losing your father, it mentions the black lives matter protest which is very important and influential for today's society, some of it's lyrics are "There we were, screamin', 'Black Lives Matter'." and "And I saw you saw who I am God, I wish I was with my father. He could see us in all our splendor. All the things I couldn't want for him, I screamed for them (oh, oh) ; I screamed for them (ah - ah)." ; My favorite songs in this album are black bathing suit, if you lie down with me, and violets for roses.… Expand

    I love every second of this album. The more I listen to it the more I fall in love with it. I waited so long for some of the songs and hearing them on this record made me literally cry. I love the experience of listening to the album.

    Amazing album, always raising the bar for everyone else. What can I say she is the sensation even after 10 years and 8 albums. She always manage to make her words sounds true and real. Her vocals are amazing and she dare to experiment more and more with them. One of the most personal project to date that dive deep into her personal life without any pretention.

    Lana del Rey's 8th major label album "blue banisters" is quite a ride. The first few tracks are piano based and have a soft touch to them, then an up beat interlude shows up introducing the next track "black bathing suit". As I see it, it's probably the best song on the record alongside with "if you lie down with me" and "living legend". Then a weaker song pops up, "beautiful" with it'sLana del Rey's 8th major label album "blue banisters" is quite a ride.     While the days of Born to Die have long since passed, Lana Del Rey is still seeking paradise, closer now than ever as she turns her search inward, seemingly recognizing that paradise is ultimately found within the best of oneself. Still, if there is indeed a physical Arcadia to be revealed, it has not emerged in its entirety on Blue Banisters. That said, its intoxicating hints are enough to keep seekers thirsty.
