Jun 26, 2012Bright and vibrant, Dry Land Is Not A Myth evokes a yearning escapism, fueled by playful energy that both sparks the imagination and compels movement.
-
Jun 26, 2012Dry Land Is Not A Myth blows by in what feels like an instant, but it is so easily engrained into your memory, you'll find yourself humming it all day.
-
Aug 23, 2012White Arrows make themselves agreeable to everyone without spending too much time with any style to overstay their welcome. Nicely done.
-
Jun 29, 2012Occasional cringe-inducing lyrics aside, 'Dry Land Is Not A Myth' gets everything bang on.
-
Jul 2, 2012'Dry Land Is Not A Myth' is a mixed bag. Church's high-pitched voice could prove to be a bit marmite, as could the songs on here without much focus. Clocking in a couple minutes over a half-hour though, it's short enough to deserve at least one spin this summer.

Jul 2, 2012This is a perfectly OK record: no more, no less.

Jun 29, 2012Dry Land Is Not a Myth fails for two reasons that could have been easily corrected: (1) rock albums, especially rock albums purporting to be "psychotropic," should never be produced by artists whose primary working medium is the remix, and (2) Church's weird, pinched vocal delivery, which the editor remedies with a variety of fixes characteristic of overproduced music (see point 1).
