Why is he making music? This guy blatantly rips-off any big rapper to do pretty terrible music with their ideas. I just hope he stops doing music.

Jesus this thing sucks. Jaden's attempt on cinematic rap is ultimately a chore to listen to. This thing bleeds with forgettable tracks, so forgettable that you forget what they sound like right after listening to them. The only hope this album has are the tracks 'Blackout' and 'On My Own'. I'll be generous on this one; 3/10...

While ERYS occasionally drags over its seventeen17 tracks, it's an immersive experience that finds Jaden at his most vulnerable, processing his messy young adult feelings into a relatable and sonically exciting way.

Beyond a few other fleeting moments of experimentalism on ERYS—the second half of “K,” when the buzzing of an electric razor slowly morphs into a heaving trap beat, or “Fire Dept,” a decent ode to the fast and distorted energy of SoCal punk—it’s mostly a slog, the sound of an artist with a blurry vision and too many resources at his disposal.

At best, it’s dreamily creative; at worst, overwrought.
