This album is a beautiful taster. While it is short it showcases the undeniable talent Jimin has. Incredible vocals, meaningful lyrics, etc. Like Crazy is a song I wish I could listen to on the radio but alas radio is too out of the loop and outdated to accept what people like.

Jimin's first solo album FACE takes you on a journey of emotions as he tells a story of his pains and struggles during the last few years; but in the end with the song "Set Me Free pt 2" he battles through all the hate and negativity around him and overcomes it all.

Set me Free pt 2 is an auditory experience with tasteful sprinkling of autotune. If you watch the mv the performance is mind blowing. It really is a song that needs that visual experience on top of auditory. Like crazy the title track is a nostalgic synth dance track that is so catchy and hypnotizining. My other favorite track is Alone, jimin's angelic and haunting vocals Expand

Face is an incredible start to Jimin's journey as a solo artist and a very bold release for a first solo EP. Jimin did an amazing job, although it is a short album, it had a beginning, middle and end, the lyrics are deep and he showed his vocal power in addition to showing his rap, Jimin's voice is very unique, I listen to the album all the time full day and without skipping a track

Jimin’s solo is definitely my favorite among all the BTS members. I was pleasantly surprised, Like crazy is actually a really good song. Usually when BTS sings in English it’s very…. Face es un álbum que nos lleva desde los rincones más escondidos hacia el autodescubrimiento y la liberación hasta la alegria que produce la autoaceptacion, Jimin captura todo eso para mí.

There's truly no need for an album review when you could listen to it for yourself. Face is a masterpiece. Listen to it, and you'll know. Jimin's voice is one of the most unique and captivating voices I've heard. My favorite song on this album is: Alone. PS: buying artists' music should be the norm if you'd like your artist to keep making art. So, pick up a cd while you're at it. ;)

I have always loved Jimin’s distinctive voice and the emotionality he brings to BTS songs, but I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from his debut solo album. I was absolutely surprised and blown away by FACE. I was absolutely surprised and blown away by FACE. He presents a complete narrative arc detailing the confusion and self-doubt brought on by the pandemic, an emotional journey so many of us can relate to. The retro 80s synth vibes echo so much of the music I loved growing up, laced with the hip hop undertones that ground the vast BTS discography. I love the glittery escapism of title track Like Crazy, but my favorite song is Alone. Jimin shows himself at his most vulnerable on Alone, voice raw and full of weariness, an artist not afraid to peel back the layers of stardom to the human Park Jimin. Expand

Jimins first ever solo album is refreshing. His distinct voice added color to a storytelling of his personal struggles and realizations. Even if one will not bother learning the lyrics and understanding the prose of his artistry, still, one will not find it hard to enjoy the album tracks. They are a bop.

Intriguing and hypnotic listen from start to end. The sound engineering is tight and Jimin's vocals were delicious in the sense that no other singer could have sang on these songs instead to this effect. I really really love this debut solo album by Jimine of BTS!! Yep, it’s an EP with just 6 tracks + 1 hidden track ONLY in physical formats, but all tracks telling a whole story about what Jiminie had been through during pandemic a few years ago, his frustration, his disappointment, his resolution to break free, and his gratitude toward his one and only ARMYs. While it’s a short EP, it doesn’t disappoint. If anything, he presents himself as a soloist with an unexpected sound for his high-pitched countertenor voice and very far from those earlier ballads we have heard from him.

Its six tracks wrap all too quickly, and while it was specified that Jimin doesn’t consider this a full-length project, it does leave the listener craving more music in this vein somewhere down the road — it’s worth repeating that the energy of “Face-off” is one that he should consider chasing most of all.
