    Jimin's debut was anticipated with some excitement. The wait is over and Jimin did not disappoint. each Song tells a story: Jimin's story but also the story of each listener. this album is by far the best release since the solo era of BTS. can't wait to see what Jimin has in store for us in the future

    There's truly no need for an album review when you could listen to it for yourself. Face is a masterpiece. Listen to it, and you'll know. Jimin's voice is one of the most unique and captivating voices I've heard. My favorite song on this album is: Alone. PS: buying artists' music should be the norm if you'd like your artist to keep making art. So, pick up a cd while you're at it. ;)

    I have been waiting for Jimin' album ever since I became an army. I knew his album would be amazing. And all my expectations were fulfilled. Every single track of the album was new, fresh and different. Only thing that was different, was a full album, not a ep. I can't wait for his full album.

    Love Jimin in his element! His ability to convey how he felt at the beginning and thoughout the pandemic was amazing, so relatable and his message came full circle by the end. Love that he made use of his lower register that I appreciate so much. Favorite b-side-only because I can't pick them all is "Alone". I listen to this album religiously and can't wait to see what's next.

    Great album. It may be an EP but it has impact. Especially with the hidden track Letter on the physical album. The title track Like Crazy is one of the best pop tracks perfect for radio I've heard in a while especially being it has 2 versions including an English version to choose from and I love both versions.     Absolutely fantastic, he let us in his most inner thoughts although i'm sad he went through such a rough period and happy he overcame it, every song is a pleasure to the ears, i can’t chose a single song because they're all masterpieces and i can’t wait to hear more of him and his gorgeous voice.

    Jimin's first solo album FACE takes you on a journey of emotions as he tells a story of his pains and struggles during the last few years; but in the end with the song "Set Me Free pt 2" he battles through all the hate and negativity around him and overcomes it all.

    For an EP, it's amazing, it brings melodic and soft songs like Alone, anthemic ones like Set Me Free Pt.2, hard ones like Face-Off and even an old sound with synth-pop with Like Crazy, for a project with only 4 songs it brings variety. Jimin showcases his different faces and sides, it's an honest work and it is delivered almost perfectly.

    Face is a great album. It shows the struggle that Jimin went through during the pandemic. Hiw lonely he was. And I think that this albums reflects on others too. So many people can relate to Face because they went through a hard time, they felt lonely and they were alone, no one beside them to comfort them.

    FACE perfectly encapsulated feelings of loss, confusion and anger in one self during times of desolation. It reflects on a period of time and the never ending cycle of self destruction that ultimately rises to an epiphany of determination and self assurance to break the cycle with Set Me Free Pt. 2. An emotional, heartbreakingly relatable album with a hopeful end. Absolutely loved it!

Then the release of Like Crazy felt like completely opposite emotions. Once I listened to the entire album, the journey made perfect sense. Face-off is my favorite track, hands down, my older kid prefers Set Me Free Pt. 2. I love every track, and frequently find myself singing Like Crazy. I'm so impressed by FACE.     I wasn’t sure what to expect with this album since each of Jimins solo releases have been so different from each other, but I was pleasantly surprised and absolutely blown away. The raw emotion that went into the songs and their deep meaning, along with Jimins vocals are just beautiful. All in all, Jimin delivered a compelling story that leaves us wanting more. I cant wait to get more music from him in the future.… Expand

    solid 6 I appreciate the use of autotune as an artistic choice but it would be nice if it was actually bearable to listen to. I hope with future projects he can lean more into his authentic self rather than using words like "opps" that seem forced and unnatural

    Jimin is a well-rounded artist. His unique voice got me playing his album from Track 1 up to the last. He’s also very great at dancing. You should check out his Like Crazy & Set Me Free Pt 2 performances on YouTube. I’m sure you’ll like it!

    A lot of choirs ! I love choirs. A really great choice to add them here in most songs. Honestly, it's a pretty good first EP, the music feels rich, and each song is quite distinct so that's a plus. I like the storytelling from top to bottom too, it felt cohesive and the intros to each song were very well thought (adding a movie extract/specific sound/melody) and that adds a lot to the EPA lot of choirs ! I love choirs. A really great choice to add them here in most songs. Honestly, it's a pretty good first EP, the music feels rich, and each song is quite distinct so that's a plus. I like the storytelling from top to bottom too, it felt cohesive and the intros to each song were very well thought (adding a movie extract/specific sound/melody) and that adds a lot to the EP creatively, it makes it feel like going through a short movie. My favority song, sadly, is the one that is hidden, so that's a bummer, but I feel like it was the most sincere and well placed vocally, I think it's the genre that fits Jimin's voice&tone the best.
    Overall my critique of the album would be that, the songs are good, but they're not immensely emotional either, or deeply creative in a way that truly Sticks, especially the lyrics, so even though my listening experience was great, and I got the story told by the album, I don't find myself coming back to it. I do skip People Pt2 though, I understand what the song wanted to convey but I feel like it missed the landmark technically. The instrumentals ? Beautiful ! Honestly I was amazed by the quality & sheer Emotions in this instrumental ! The lyrics & the choices of vocals & vocal production ? Not really it. Sometimes artists focus on who they wish they were instead of being themselves, and it can work honestly, if you play it as a "character" or play it out well, but sometimes I think it does them a disservice by sounding unnatural or missing the emotional mark. I think it's cool to experiment with sound though, so I hope Jimin will grow musically after this EP and I'll be curious to see what he does next.    … Expand

    Face is an amazing debut as a soloist. Jimin's capacity to tell his story and share his feelings through out all of the songs in this work is remarkable. Face manages to showcase Jimin's versality not only in his distinctive voice and pitch, but also his lyrics. Each and every track has different vibes and evokes various emotions on the listener.

Then he transitions into interlude dive which we can hear as his every day life sounds blended in musically. Where is ends we are taken into wow the beautiful track like crazy. There is a fan song which is only available in cd but you can listen to it in YouTube upload..it's called letter it's the hug he gives you at the end.     Love Set Me Free pt.2 the most from this album, and Like Crazy is a very catchy song. Jimin's unique vocal is amazing as always. Lyrics are good in some of the songs, although there's room for improvement in others. The production is great, and the album is probably the closest to BTS sound compared to other BTS solo releases.

Apart from his unique voice, what’s even more impressive is how well-thought-out the lyrics and effects are. The carnival sounds for the intro to Face-Off, the distortion in certain lyrics of Alone, the autotune in Set Me Free Pt2, the short catchy skit in the beginning of Like Crazy, and even the sequence of actions heard in Interlude: Dive. When you really analyze and set aside implicit bias or other expectations, one will realize how symbolic and innovative and intriguing this album is.… Expand

    Brillant, absolutely brillant arrangement for each song and between songs in the FACE album is AOTY. Both eye and ear feasting MVs for Like Crazy and Set Me Free pt 2 are produced with high quality! Park Jimin’s first solo album sets a new benchmark by means of the artist truly appearing solo! A HOT100 winner for weeks if rankings starting in its 2nd week onwards are done right.

And As for Jimins first solo album, I love how this is purely him and no collab from another artist. Jimin always gives something new to his audience, now I look forward to his next album.

    Face is a masterpiece.
    From start to finish, it tells a story about Jimin's struggles during the pandemic.
    He showed us his vocal abilities and more. It was emotional but strong. It will make you dance, cry, reflect on your life, gain power and just be immersed in the music and storytelling. You can easily relate to everything that he is conveying in his music. The title track, Like    Face is a masterpiece.

    You can easily relate to everything that he is conveying in his music.
    The title track, Like Crazy, is a synth pop dance music that's simply addicting. The pre-release track, Set Me Free pt. 2 is so anthemic. It gave me goosebumps the first time I listened and watched the MV. I suggest also watching the music videos and live performances on Jimmy Fallon, KBS and SBS.
    There's also a live Jazz version of Like Crazy on Lee Mujin Service YouTube channel. It's so divine! I wish they'll release this version on streaming platforms, too. Jimin's voice is so unique and captivating. I can listen to it all day. I hope other people will give it a listen, too.
    And if you followed the whole promotions, you'll be amazed by how cohesive everything is. I love this album so much! Jimin, without intending, created the album of the year by just wanting to honestly share himself through his music. Can't get enough of Face by Jimin! I'm Like Crazy for it! :D    … Expand

    Este álbum contiene una mezcla de ritmos y melodías que te lleva por diferentes estados de ánimo, por lo cuál, nunca te cansas de escucharlo. Me hubiera gustado que tuviera más canciones para poder disfrutar un poco más de ese tono único que tiene Jimin, pero debo reconocer que el álbum no decepciona en ningún momento. Espero seguir escuchando más de su música en el futuro.

As a person who has followed the music world for a long time, I had in mind that Park Jimin would make an album more... "Colorful" and "sweet", which is an image strongly attached to him. When we think of Park Jimin, we think of BTS, a South Korean music group that has developed artistically and socially over the years. From their "old school" concepts, dark and gloomy images, consistent with the hip hop concept they brought, from rebellious boys who fought for the girl's love to sensitive guys who feel much more than love in their youth, with their songs from the mini album "The Most Beautiful Moment In Life 1" onwards, showing a more sensitive, reflective and dramatic side of them that we didn't know. BTS was one of the groups that surprised me the most over the years, and now, with their work as soloists, they surprised me even more.

    FACE by Jimin was a big surprise. The sweet and charismatic boy of BTS was gone, leaving room for a distressed young man, who was angry about his youthful frustrations, who was confused by the new stage of his life (during the pandemic), who was unrecognizable in his own eyes in front of the mirror, preferring to drink himself senseless rather than face his true self, who was afraid of having been alone for too long, who rebelled against his anxieties, and who later declared that his driving force was his fans, the ARMYs, who gave much love and strength. Speaking this way, we can see that Jimin's album is intertwined, it's like he's telling us a story, his story, and we just have to listen and interpret it our way.

    5 tracks in the digital discography, plus an additional one in the physical version of the album, we know Face-off, Interlude Dive, Like Crazy, Alone, Set Me Free pt 2 and Letter. Each song has its particularity, but they are interconnected, it's as if they happened in 48 hours (the story of the songs).

    Our journey begins with Face-off. A rebellious, angry and frustrated lyrics are present during the song, with its strong beat, demonstrating the adverse feelings that Jimin had for “someone”. I won't theorize too much here, but I have a strong impression that Jimin's revolt is against himself.

    In "Interlude Dive", we hear only sounds, with a few seconds of Jimin's sweet voice breaking through, as if he had arrived at his apartment, he seems to have been crying as he watched his performance at the Yet to Come In Busan concert, he went towards a cupboard, took something and some car keys, we heard the noise as he started his car, and seconds later, sounds of drink being poured and then swallowed. Where was Jimin? Why was there so much buzzing during this interlude? There are really many doubts I have about this track.

    Like Crazy. The first time I heard it, I realized how much this song has a sexy concept that involves us at first, but when I read the lyrics, I realized that the song is more melancholy than I expected. In the MV, we saw Jimin at a club, getting drunk, dancing, but he didn't seem to be really happy, as represented in the bathroom scenes where he stares at himself, as if he's feeling lost. Did he really need to drink so much and pass out so he didn't have to face his own reality? The scene of him staring at a woman so identical to him raised a question in my mind, but I think you may have already guessed. This song manages to bring so many feelings to us, both the rhythm, the lyrics and the video, without excluding the choreography that shows an unexpected and sensual side of Jimin to show his feelings.

    Alone is a ballad track, with the serene vocals of Jimin, who sang beautifully about his deepest thoughts and emotions. It's hard to imagine Jimin feeling lonely, being a pop star, the public usually only sees the lights, not the shadows. We only see the "good and promising" side of fame, and sometimes we don't realize that, behind that artist, there is a young adult of 27 years old who has dreams, plans and aspirations like anyone else.

    Set Me Free pt 2, Jimin's cry of independence, his liberation and singularities assumed in a song. In Lie, we had a Jimin who was involved in lies and felt trapped, in Serendipity, we met a romantic Jimin, who believes that good things can happen by chance. In Filter, we found out that he could be any version that would please us, but now, in Set Me Free pt 2, we just want him to be the version that pleases himself. Jimin freed himself from his fears and anguish, spread his wings (as in his photofolio) and now he can be the real Jimin, which he always wanted to be.

    And we have Letter, last. A letter of love and friendship from Jimin to his fans, who have supported him for almost a decade, who love him, who protect him, who do everything possible for this boy's complete happiness.

    FACE really showed us Jimin's faces. It was an extremely hard working album and seeing the results it is having on the charts makes me proud. Jimin really deserves all of this.    … Expand

Jimin is indeed an expressive artist in all possible ways, each song will give you a glimpse of his hardships during the pandemic, the emotion he portrays on these lyrics as well as in the instrumentals and sounds on Interlude: Dive will make you feel part of the journey. Jimin smart choice of song styles needs to be applauded, every bigFACE is the album I’ve been waiting for a long time. Jimin is indeed an expressive artist in all possible ways, each song will give you a glimpse of his hardships during the pandemic, the emotion he portrays on these lyrics as well as in the instrumentals and sounds on Interlude: Dive will make you feel part of the journey. Jimin smart choice of song styles needs to be applauded, every big artist needs to take the risk, and for me, he did it tremendously well. This album made me discover even more sides of Jimin as an artist and I can’t wait for whatever it comes in the future.… Expand

    I really enjoyed this album and the flow. I'm in my 40's and the songs are relevant to me now, but also gave me a feeling of nostalgia, which is unusual in a lot of modern music. I liked that the different songs have different vibes and that the album as a whole tells a story. I would have loved more songs, mostly because I love the ones included and it just ends all too soon for me.I really enjoyed this album and the flow.     The album plays with emotions from all dimensions, the run from one perspective to another then the urge to drown one particular side then coming to realisation and confrontation of this enigmatic subconscious endeavour, all plays as a chronological order ,so this album is a work of genius

    it’s his First Debut album and it is so good. Five tracks and one hidden song. The songs are all good. My fav is Alone. It relates to me very much how I felt during pandemic. I felt depressed and alone. I felt connected and cried while listening.I like Like Crazy too it is Synth Pop, the more you listen the more you get addicted. Every listen gives you new feeling. I love it so much..

    Um álbum em si,é realmente bom,os instrumentais estão perfeitos, porém,uma coisa que me irrita é a voz do Jimin,não consigo entender porque ele deixa ela tão aguda quando vai cantar. Isso acaba irritando e tira toda a experiência do álbum, possuem partes das músicas que a voz fica tão aguda que passa a sensação de que o artista força pra cantar naquele tom, e não fica legal de ouvir.Um álbum em si,é realmente bom,os instrumentais estão perfeitos, porém,uma coisa que me irrita é a voz do Jimin,não consigo entender porque ele deixa ela tão aguda quando vai cantar.     While it’s a short EP, it doesn’t disappoint. If anything, he presents himself as a soloist with an unexpected sound for his high-pitched countertenor voice and very far from those earlier ballads we have heard from him.

    Its six tracks wrap all too quickly, and while it was specified that Jimin doesn’t consider this a full-length project, it does leave the listener craving more music in this vein somewhere down the road — it’s worth repeating that the energy of “Face-off” is one that he should consider chasing most of all.
