I Slept On the Floor is up there with the very best of them. It is quite simply a thing of exquisite, radiant beauty.

Some songs are easier entryways into the band’s world than others, but the album leaves the greatest impression when listened to from start to finish. With all that time to develop over the years, Another Sky have finally found their voice with a debut album that’s fully realised and utterly engrossing.

An album that manages to be both delicate and thunderous at once, ‘I Slept On The Floor’ is a potent and empowering statement of intent.
  5. When the band aren’t flexing their muscles on arena-sized rock soundscapes, they prove themselves nimble and dexterous.

It smoothly goes through the motions of loud and quiet to create an album with a beautiful ebb and flow. The song craft is amazing, from the build on Tree to the gentle All Ends and the climaxes of Avalanche and The Cracks. There doesn't seem to be a bad track anywhere and it stays interesting all the way through to the final note. It's slightly quirky, it's different, and it's an incredible debut album Full Review »
