In Another World is a remarkable album and another marvellous continuation: power and pop. [May 2021, p.88]

Cheap Trick and others from their graduating class may be perfectly content to carry on as walking memes, but In Another World reminds us that this veteran rock act still has lifeblood coursing through its veins.

In Another World displays the Tricksters cranking out another 45 minutes of crackling rock and roll that belies the members’ age, extensive backstory along with a work ethic doesn’t show any signs of slowing down now. Cheap Trick is a group too smart to quit.

Cheap Trick certainly aren’t innovating stylistically or challenging themselves here—they basically just stick to what works—but they still do an exceptional job delivering precisely what fans expect.

As usual where Cheap Trick are concerned, the fast ones are much better than the slow ones. [May 2021, p.24]

If In Another World doesn't quite feel like a classic Cheap Trick, blame that on the group's dogged adherence to their old blueprint; they follow it so closely that they don't allow room for adventure, mistake, or fashion. Maybe that means the album doesn't quite seem fresh, but it does hit its marks in a reliable, satisfying manner.

In Another World cleaves to the telegraphed, lighter-aloft choruses that make Cleveland and other places rock, a palpable Beatles influence pervading Quit Waking Me Up and So It Goes. [May 2021, p.81]

Sure, there are the big choruses, bigger guitar riffs, and smart-alecky Nielsenisms that their die-hard cult craves, but at the same time, songs like “The Summer Looks Good on You” and “Light Up the Fire” sound like Cheap Trick by Numbers.

Pretty bad and bland. There's not much more you can say. I can see the one review marked as "10" makes no sense at all. Therefore I'm guessingPretty bad and bland. Track 6 Final Days sounds like a Slade anthem and is this really a goodbye song?
Track 7 So It Goes is a Beatles style ballad before Light Up the Fire continues to rock and roll but the remaining tracks add little more than standard Cheap Trick (not that this is a totally bad thing).
