He reinvanted his style to prove that he can do everything. I mean, J-hope have a mark, he's the hope of BTS and ARMYS, always showing a smile, but he showed his bad days, when he's not smiling and not always being his own hope.     Love this album. I could see J-hope putting his soul and heart while creating this masterpiece through his thorough and detailed lyrics. The message are well delivered even when some of the words used were embroided with words that harmonized the lyrics, Like,,, they're so direct yet so beautiful. And I believe not any artists can actually nail that skill..

    Personally for me as a growing adult, I relate to Safe Zone the most. He delivered through the lyrics where he had lots of thoughts about him being out of his comfort zone. And I personally think we all can relate the fear of coming out from our safe space to receive and take more challenges in our lives, as well as trying something new. He did that very well and some (like me) must have be relieved to know, that it's okay to have hard thoughts about the future, because J-hope has it too. We are all human anyways. And as an ARMY, it felt like a comfort song.

    And I love equal sign the most. It potrays on how uniqueness is not something that should be a fault nor a bad thing but instead, it is just how everyone is created and each of a person has their own unique trait. "Hate will paralyze your mind, gotta see the other side, it costs you nothing to be kind. Not so different you and I, looking for love in a different light, until we find the equal sign. same, the air we breathe, same, the dreams we're dreaming" at the end -- we all are the same human who has different goals and achievements. so.. no point of hating; just because someone is different from you ;}

    overall, i really love this album. kudos to my love hobi for making this happen and he did VERY well. it's so different from BTS yet he still holds the BTS vibe tight in his heart. the arrangements are also very well made and I hope to see more of him in the future!    … Expand

    With every listen this album get's better and better, i can't get Arson out of my head, j-hope showed us a new side of him in this album, the music the lyrics the order of the songs tells a story, he steped out of his comfort zone and the result is 10/10 album.

    This album carries profound messages of self-reflection, courage, hope, equality and kindness. Despite the heavy themes, they were delivered in creative and entertaining ways that are uncommon with artists that call Korea their home. j-hope is a genius who breaks language barriers and connects with listeners through his love for music.

    If only talking about an album, j-hope did such an amazing and overwhelming job with telling a story through his music.
    Starting with a story of Pandora’s Box in Intro and continuing in the second song of the same name, j-hope tells us a story of his name, thing that made him who he is now. He is the Hope trapped in a box, finding it’s way out. Maybe hope is not always something pleasant? It may be filled with darkness and harsh emotions, too. I highly recommend you watching his performance at MAMA 2022, just a little glimpse of what he is capable of, a sneak pic into Jack’s Box.
    What if.. is my favorite in this album. Even though I’m a little biased due to how much I love songs sounding like this, but it truly is a work of art. Hoseok tells about his insecurities, asking questions more to the fate and universe than us or himself. What if he did not have anything? Will he still think the same, say those things, feel those feelings? Will he still be him?
    Equal Sing (=) is nominated for a Grammy in Social Change category, if I recall it right. Well, the name of the song says it all. Please, give it a shot, read the lyrics too, maybe? A little hope for the future is needed to anyone.
    I’d love to write about every single song on Jack in The Box, but that will be too lengthy, sorry haha. But I truly love this album with my whole heart. Please, give it a chance. If you wouldn’t like it it’s completely fine, we can not please everyone:) But maybe you will find something you were looking for in j-hope’s art, just as I myself did.    … Expand

    Chapter 2 starts with Jhope giving us a masterpiece album. It is a bold move to strike out with mix type genre of K-pop with a touch of metal, rock, grunge, and old-school hip-hop. All the songs when played sequentially construct Jhope's storyline. The songs are not only hypnotic but extremely catchy. I just love the edgy tones. This is one of the best albums that I have heard.

    j-hope really switched things up with Jack In The Box album. He created a masterpiece that changed the narrative and set the standard really high not just for the others in his team or genre but for the industry. Really a big breath of fresh air. His songwriting skills are also a hundred percent. My favorite tracks are Pandora's Box, Arson, More and What If.

    Incredibly unique album. Definitely a no skip album for me. I love how experimental J-Hope was in this album. He brought back those old school hip hop feel into this album which we don't see that much anymore in music industry. Even though I love all the songs in this album, I fell in love with Pandora's Box in the first minute into the song. The songs are so different from what we usuallyIncredibly unique album.
