The instrumentation throughout the whole album was just tremendously good, and as usual Jhope killing it with his amazing vocal. The song 'Stop' really brought me back to my teenage years, and when I heard ODB sample in 'What If', it almost brought me to tears!! I will treasure this album so much, thank you Jhope for such a beautifully crafted album from start to finish!… Expand

    Jack in the Box is an album of top caliber, something I truly expected from Jhope. Listening to it from top to bottom is like listening to an audio book... his story and what he wants to say are such a joy to listen to. Hobi, I am truly proud to be your fan. I will forever be a BTS Army.

The songs individually are also magnificent, the grunge rap in More is excellent, and my favorite is Pandora Box.

The theme "jack in the box" fits so well with the artists but was also unexpected which gave the element of surprise. Jack in the box is scary, dark but colorful, and showcased his craziness but really it's a confession and expression of the real person inside him. It's a very cool album, it talks about the Rapper's, (J-Hope from BTS), struggle and personal thoughts as he went from a mere street dancer to a global sensation, how he was consumed with the need to achieve more and in turn what it did to his inner self. He also went through many existential crisis in order to differentiate between his on screen and off screen personas, he said that he felt like he had been wearing a mask all alone and in the last few songs made peace with himself.     No usa autotune abusivo, tiene una voz muy estable y no usa los típicos ritmos pop que usan los artistas kpop. Lo mejor es que j-hope arriesgó todo con este álbum y le salió de maravilla... Él no se apegó a lo típico que la industria kpop hace, y eso la hace más brillante.

    If I was the artist, I would be very proud of myself for producing such an album. Not only does the artist explore not so popular sounds with outstanding mastery but the artist also raises important questions amongst society…something which is very hard to hear from artists of today.     That was the best album I've ever heard of a Korean artist. like you don't even feel he's Korean because his rap and the way he pronounces words is very cool. I love his lyrics and he wrote them by himself!!!     j-hope never miss! From Hope World to JITB, every song has a piece of him, a story. He really means it when he said, he puts his heart and soul into his music. With JITB, he has a story to tell so I advise to listen to it from start to finish. He’s one of the few authentic artists nowadays. Looking forward for more of his music.

    After a successful mixtape HopeWorld, J-hope calls "Jack In The Box" his portfolio, his business card, which gives you an essence of who J-hope is, what his passions are, and each of his emotions are effectively conveyed through each songs of the album. A no skip album which I really really love, Jack In The Box is 10/10.

We encountered with both rapper Jhope and vocalist Jhope through it. Love all the songs but my all time listens are arson, safety zone and equal sign. If you're someone who likes to explore different genre, this one is definitely for you. JITB is theme based, so it's best to listen to the entire album from the beginning to the end.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I usually don't listen to rap albums. So this was a first one. I was sceptical in the start but to my surprise I actually loved the album. The intro was chef's kiss to whole album, it was this little fine but imp detail. "Arson" was literally litt, the agression and in "More", "Future" and "Equal sign" beautiful songs with beautiful message, "Safety zone" literally being my safety zone, Stop an amazing song and my favourite "What if" I'd do anything to listen to it live. The album is a perfect mix of aggressive rap and rock music and beautiful vocals at the same time.… Expand

    The first time I heard this album, I was very surprised, I didn't expect this but it was a wonderful surprise.

    There is a real store in this album, between each track. I listen it once everyday, I'm just in love with this album.

    Loved the artist's experimentation through out this album. A personal favorite and the one track that stood out the most was Safety Zone, the background vocals, the instrumentation and the main singer all made it a complete song with no flaws.

    The unexpected twist from Hope world to Jack in the box. I wasn't ready for this amazing album. Brilliant overall. Listening from weverse album even mind-blowing. The sound quality another whole new level.

    A new side to J-hope that I didnt expect. I was expecting another album of the same concept like Hope World. But his 2nd album took me by surprise. He cant always maintain the jolly-like facade, so More and Arson was born. But naming it as Jack in the Box, with references to Greek myths, mentioning Pandora's box. There really is hope in the end. Not everything has to be dark, thats whyA new side to J-hope that I didnt expect. I was expecting another album of the same concept like Hope World. But his 2nd album took me by surprise.     There’s an excellent three track run from “What if…,” an energetic song that samples Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s “Shimmy Shimmy Ya,” into mid-tempo standout “Safety Zone” before a touch of Hope World familiarity returns in the optimistic “Future.”
