I'm shook. I can't believe it's a Poker Face singer. It's much more. This album is the pure work with raw voices. So different from what you hear everyday playing on the radio the same songs with no sense. This is way beyond everything I've heard before. Congrats! 10/10

At first, before the release, I was disappointed with Gaga, because all I wanted was a Pop record and not an indie record, but at the first listen, i completely fell in love with the album, the lyrics, instrumentals and the vocals are amazing!!!

Gaga really showed her talent as a lyricist in this record, more than in any other of her previous ones in my opinion. The songs also sound raw, in a sense where you can really hear her voice.

Lady Gaga gives us her most personal album to date, you can hear and feel how she pour her heart out in every song. A record made for her family and her most loyal fans, a record made to reconcile with herself and with her past, leaving aside the charts, the extravagant looks and anything that might leave in the background to what really matters, MUSIC.

To really enjoy this album, you must forget everything you thought you knew about Lady Gaga, open your mind and be aware that she is not simply a popstar, because such a great in all levels reinvention is only possible if you are what Lady Gaga is, a real MUSICIAN.

The best: Diamond heart, A-YO, Dancin' in circles, Million reasons, Angel down.

The worst: Sinner's prayer, Just another day

I didn't expected much from this album, I was disappointed with ARTPOP and I expected Joanne to be an album full of fillers and Lady Gaga trying to look more adult. I can't choose a favorite one, but I definitely can choose my least favorite: Come To Mama. Iis cringy and sound like a parody of Mariah Carey. Didn't like Sinner's Prayer either. The deluxe edition contains Grigio Girls and Just Another Day which are nothing special, but also a work tape of Angel Down that worth the whole album to me. The very last seconds of this album will make you cry, I promise. Expand

JOANNE is the album of the year !
It's very different from every other sound released this year and that is exactly what I needed.
Can't wait for the official singles and the music videos.

I'm thankful for this album. I've been always begging for some kind of acoustic album and this is the first time she gave us something like that. Angel Down is such a timeless song, amazing. Dancin' in Circles and Diamond Heart are the highlights of a record that will change the norms for pop music.

Ten years ago I would have never predicted that I would be completely enamored of Lady Gaga, let alone her music. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Even though we can see Lady Gaga's true face, "Joanne" fails to deliver. There are 4-5 songs that are upbeat and "Gaga" style, but the rest is just a banch of boring ballads. Her vocals shine in this record (and that's why I gave 6/10 and not 4/10), but it's not enough. I like to see her evolve, but I'd like her to keep the upbeat and fun characteristics that made her famous. Expand

Joanne may not be the best Lady Gaga record, but something about it makes it feel and sound so unique. With her fifth full-length LP, Stefani has completely switched gears, making a blend of a rock and country record, employing the help of several masterminds in those domains (Mark Ronson, Beck, Florence Welch, etc..). It's very apparent that Gaga wanted to make the music she genuinely felt like creating. The tracks are personal and authentic. Songs like 'John Wayne' and 'A-YO' and lead-single 'Perfect Illusion' make me want to act like a crazy person under the influence, while others like 'Million Reasons' (which is easily the best song on the album) and 'Angel Down' are very emotionally charged. Another highlight is 'Dancin' in Circles', which is as weird as it is catchy. On the other hand, there are songs that fall short, like 'Hey Girl' (I honestly expected more from the incredible collaboration is that Gaga and Florence) and 'Sinner's Prayer' which sounds monotonous and never quite explods.
All in all, the record is solid and it's quite a good addition to Lady Gaga's catalog.

Lady Gaga reinvent her music yet again as she takes on a country-pop-rock-esque sound on 'Joanne'. With album highlights 'A-YO', 'John Wayne', 'Million Reasons', and 'Come to Mama', Gaga hits another album show a la Born This Way, making an Album of the Year Grammy nomination possible. Her vocals in 'Joanne' are the best yet; the album's been on repeat for days. It's a masterpiece.

Amazing. A true masterpiece. Stripped of the synths, her voice rises on the pure talent of her lyrical and musical talent. It's so unlike her previous works that it stands out as an honest perspective of the unique mind of the woman who once shocked the world by spectacle and has returned to her true craft, music.

Lol this is the worst album i've ever heard in my life. Lyrics are cheesy, production is reductive, and Fadga pushes her vocals too hard on every song. Can't believe some people call this a masterpiece.

While Lady Gaga has managed to overcome But In This Is A decline Having to seek a gender Another para to call a little attention from the media and say that there was a great invention by her. Choose a producer Mark Ronson As was the worst mistake he has taken in his career and even as their singles that have come out lately.

not good.No wonder everyone calls Gaga "Lady Reductive" .. her new album is a reductive mess .. Now Reductive is coping Madonna's "music" era, but songs on the album are bad versions of PINK, AVRIL, MILEY CYRUS songs. Lady Reductive is a tribute artist and she should stick with that, bc she just doesn't know how to make good lyrics, songs and music. Go away Lady, go away Reductive

Lady Gaga pushed the boundaries of pop music once again with her new album, Joanne. Redefining the industry one hit song at a time. A great example of this is the song Dancin' In Circles. A very unique sound, even for the queen of unique. For anyone who thought Gaga was "over" after ARTPOP and C2C, think again!

This album is amazing. Very unique and ahead of its time, unlike the generic music on the radio right now. What many people need to realize is that gaga is evolving as an artist; and this is her being her, not being controlled by a record label, or by the mass media. True music and true talent always reigns. It's a shame people don't realize what she has done, and continues to do for pop music.

Unfortunately, therein lies the biggest problem with Joanne: for every time that Gaga seemingly breaks free of her shackles and embraces something more “real,” she quickly scuttles back into her comfort zone and hides behind glistening production. This probably isn’t quite the sound of the real Stefani Germanotta, but if you squint hard enough there’s a semblance of a real person in amongst the pop haze.

Joanne is certainly not the all-conquering opus it was intended to be and will prove divisive, but it remains a daring and exciting record, delivered from one of modern pop’s most unique and singular voices.
