A flaccid smattering of pop trends that have long since passed and melodies so transparently halfhearted, it barely sounds like a person even made them.

Every song layers Levine's singing/clumsy rapping over the most cringe inducing trap beats, and most of the time he sounds like a middle-aged stepdad trying to sound "hip" to get in good with his stepson. It's transparent cultural and trend pandering, and even when Levine adheres to his bread and butter, the melodies are more vanilla than usual.

Maroon 5 and Adam Levine have reached the bottom of the barrel of bad music with this one. It's sad, honestly.

    FAV TRACK: Nobody's Love

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. I used to love Maroon 5. Their first 4 albums (Songs About Jane, It Won't Be Soon Before Long, Hands All Over, and Overexposed) are solid pop rock in my opinion, with each one well written lyrics, great instrumentals, and nice inclusions of different genres, like blue-eyed soul, R&B, funk, and dance.
But with V and Red Pill Blues, they drastically went downhill to me. The lyrics were generic and poorly written, the production declined, the instrumentals were toned down and sidelined, Adam's ego took over, and his vocals got worse.
But those 2 albums can't compare to the atrocity known as Jordi. I hate the incomplete writing, the repetition, the performances of the featured artists, and the overall execution.

My ranking of the songs from least worst to worst:
    Convince Me Otherwise - 1.5/5
    Beautiful Mistakes - 1.5/5
    Remedy - 1/5
    Lost - 1/5
    Nobody’s Love - 1/5
    Can’t Leave You Alone - 0.5/5
    Memories - 0.5/5

    Lovesick - 0.5/5
    Lifestyle - 0.5/5
