One of the best yet: a sprawling 19-track min-movie, which takes in obscure left-field rock, creepy children's choirs, bucolic ambient and sombre Celtic poetry. [Dec 2016, p.117]

The new exclusive material for this Late Night Tales is quite superb; the cover of I’m Not In Love by Song Sung; Holmes & Steve Jones’ The Reiki Healer From County Down shows why he’s in such demand as a film composer. Best of all is the most amazing tribute by writer BP Fallon to the late guitar legend Henry McCullough.

It’s music to seek out when some respite from all the blurred lines in this very busy world is desperately sought. In taking our hand but never gripping too tight, Holmes taps into something that even the best Late Night Tales compilations sometimes neglect: the pure self-therapy of total escapism.

In this latest instalment in the Late Night series, Holmes seems to have scored an origin story of sorts, in inimitable fashion, snatches of places and time woven among some breath-taking selections, passing through the present moment as observed with an eagle eye, before being let to peace until called upon again.

I purchased the CD form a shop for $25 expecting good things but no. This is just an awful collection of disappointing un-musical rubbish. The shop I bought it from refuse to give me a refund so I may as well tell others what I think of it so that they can be more aware than I was. I will stay well clear of "Late Night Tales" in future.
