Let’s Go Sunshine is a triumph for a band unafraid of pushing their sound, fusing together a variety of influences and flying the indie-pop flag high and proud for all to admire.

There's enough variety to excite and warrant repeat listens; however, pacing suffers when the momentum is cut by otherwise pleasant tracks like "Fractured and Dazed" and "Picture Frame." These issues aside, Let's Go Sunshine is a mature progression for the Kooks, one that points in the right direction for the band's evolution.

Let’s Go Sunshine is a solid album, though not groundbreaking. It is clear that The Kooks have tried to deviate from their established sound in a way that doesn’t completely alienate older fans, and rightly so.

At times, notably on Honey Bee, Pritchard's lyrics are sugary enough to induce toothache. However, the ever-present feel-good factor makes this an album as impossible to dislike as seeing the sun break through the clouds. [Oct 2018, p.112]

If they dropped the ambitious approach of 15 tracks and stuck with the most notable eight or nine, Let's Go Sunshine might have been a bit more consistent and interesting.

A sometimes pleasant but ultimately uneven album--not one worth hating, by any means, but not one that shows the Kooks' best qualities, much less takes them to another level.
  7. If it’s your introduction to them, there’s likely just about enough to convince you to dig a little further. ... But if you’re a survivor of the ‘00s indie scene, there are no new tricks here that’ll stump you. The by-the-numbers feel of ‘Four Leaf Clover’ makes us feel like the unlucky ones, and ‘Tesco Disco’ should have been left in the reduced section.

With musics that really stick to your head to some that makes you want to skip, Let's Go Sunshine is an average album if you're a KooksWith musics that really stick to your head to some that makes you want to skip, Let's Go Sunshine is an average album if you're a Kooks listener, it doesn't really show much of the best the band has to show and it sticks to their music style just as much as any other. it sure is a pleasant album, but not the best.
