Credit to them for trying a different sound. I just don't think this glossy, dance vibe really suits them. There are still great tracks like 2am, 2001 and Crest of the Wave, but the others feel like they're missing the usual Foals edge. I also missed a quieter track or two, that Foals usually excel at, it just kind of stays at the same tempo throughout.

It is a decent record with some really great, catchy tunes and some fillers. I was lucky to hear some of the songs live and they sound absolutely amazing. I just wish they had more of that energy on the record.

Compared to previous albums. Foals is no longer in conditions to take new sound paths. With 2 members gone, the flexibility to explore new genres is over. That doesn't make this a bad album, just not ambitious like their previous work.

This is easily Foals's best and most consistent album since Spanish Sahara . It's a perfect summer album, a breath of fresh air for the band. 2am, 2001, The sound , Wild green are some of the best tracks the band has ever made. People are saying the second half is lack cluster but I think it's even better than the first half. I understand some fans are not happy with the new direction butThis is easily Foals's best and most consistent album since Spanish Sahara . My rating is 7.8 so i rounded it up and hope it will raise a bit oberall user score.
The album is... Fine... Obviously not the best foals album, but definitely significant for their developement as a band and it's not bad at all. The most important thing is it's relevant and topical. The perfect album for this period of time. But there is also an issue... I don't think it's gonna age as

    Anyway, gongrats, Foals, love you.

8.5/10. A great album full of disco riffs, groovy bass lines and a perfect album for the summer. Key Track: 2am.

They are a restless band, yes, but Life Is Yours proves that a narrower focus can bring the most returns.

Fueled by the long-promised light at the end of the tunnel after the COVID-19 lockdown, it's also the band's most vibrant and accessible outing to date.

Without a feeling that it’s intentionally waiting for the rain in order to go out dancing in it, it draws on its authors’ memories of the good times – reflecting, according to Philippakis, right back to their earliest days – and projects them huge and bright.
