boring album that doesn't go anywhere. there's no song that i would voluntarily listen to. upsetting bc i love taylor and had such high expectations. it didn't live up to the quality of her other albums.

Seems a bit cheap. I don't really like any of the songs, only 'you need to calm down'. And that's meh, sorry x

I’m sorry but SNOOZE! It’s so boring it’s the same old sugary pop songs she used to make at 16...now she’s almost 30 and still the same...there’s zero progress! She tries to deliver deep and meaningful thoughts but she doesn’t explore them in depth enough to make any impact but I guess her writing is challenged when she attempts to write on. deep and thought provoking topics as previouslyI’m sorry but SNOOZE! Disappointing step backwards after Reputation. Might be more enjoyable and palatable if cut down by about 7 songs

Trash. Utter trash. I think I’d rather listen to my alarm for 8hrs straight than this crap. Shows absolutely zero growth as an artist and her vocals are painful to hear. Someone tell this girl that she can’t sing because clearly she doesn’t understand that

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I love taylor and I’m big fan of her music but I expected much more than this , since 1989 taylor seems to try to sell rather than make good music I’d like to bring back the taylor who made RED Or at least 1989 Expand

Boring and lacks creativity compared to previous album Reputation. Reputation was a step in a good direction but she has just gone to a worst style.

I dont think she’s even trying anymore. This is WAY TOO GENERIC POP. She lost her potential.

The sound is way too generic, there is nothing innovative about this album, it will probably be forgotten in about 3 months. She lost her own identity and sold herself to the mainstream media and made her career based on cheap celeb drama. Too bad! This album lacks of good tracks. I give her a 0.

The same basic, repetitive pop music you hear all the time. She peaked when she released 1989

It’s an album that screams out for an editor, but when it hits the right notes, it demonstrates just why Taylor Swift is one of the biggest pop stars in the world.

Ultimately, Lover is overstuffed and meandering, but serves as a positive reprieve from her past struggles in the public eye, and represents an artist at the peak of her creativity, power, and—one hopes—continued romantic bliss.

Lover is a fabulous record, full of super-fun standout pop hits that make your heart burst. It oozes with Swift’s much more palatable upbeat sass. She’s in love and also thinking about different kinds of love.
