The inclusion of an intimate song close to Taylor, Soon You'll Get Better shows her through rough times but the inclusion of "ungodly" words really helps you to know that Taylor Swift is more mature than she ever was. All 18 songs give different views as stated before, from breakup songs toAmazing. A masterpiece showing her love for Joe Alwyn in up beat, pop songs and sad, slow songs.     This is another of Swift's highs, with very cohesive narrative in its fundamentals. Also, we have a nice romanticization of love, which always sees the light of day in its recent releases. "Lover" is about loving.

    Taylor Swift has shown some potential before....there’s some projects by her that I really find solid, inventive, and well crafted. 1989 was the last album by her that I could tolerate. I really admired her throwback to the old pop sound. Reputation was a huge misstep that just seemed like an album that was playing catch up to some other artists.     Lover is an album very Taylor Swift, but an improved Swift. The lyrics sometimes could be a little childish but put the idea behind in a smart way.
    Some songs don't fit well in the album,in a large album but also it's easy to listen to.

Taylor made no effort to bring anything surprising. Don't be your charisma and your beautiful vocals, we will be frustrated right now. Ever since red, Taylor has been really taking a hit when it comes to the fact that she has not grown as an artist or matured in her music or artisty. She feels even more clueless than the 16 year old girl she started off as with self titled. I genuinely did not enjoy a single track off of this album besides "you need to calm down" and that was only because of the hook. It also didn't help that Taylor was trying to "get the gay vote" with this album. Them there are the ridiculous actions of her fans. They are so utterly childish and this album goes to show the kind of audience she is pandering to. Taylor Swift is a strong, intelligent woman with great writing skills and she simply has not prooven this to the public in a long time but people choose to eat it up. I really hope that Taylor will start to grow as an artist again rather than the decline of the last couple of albums. It didn't help that she pumped this album out to push reputation under the rug, an album that very much failed to meet my expectations. The old Taylor is definitely dead and it seems it is for the worst.… Expand

    This album has a great singer perfomance, instruments are very well organized, rich in rhythm, variety of songs and most inportant: very enjoyable. Taylor Swift is clearly in her best performance shape, her lyrics are more mature and her songs are not repeating the old ones (note: this is her seventh album), keeping her essence and quality. Recommended.

    Taylor é uma ótima cantora e compositora. em "Lover" há todo um cuidado com as letras e harmonias, e a ideia em geral - trazer o amor e a felicidade - é belíssima.

    mas pra mim Taylor tinha que arriscar mais, sair da zona de conforto pois potencial ela tem e público também.

    "You need.." é a minha favorita que acima de tudo, é necessária para os dias de hoje.
