    From its overall sound down to its finer details, Gavin, Maskin and McPherson have hit the mark completely. It’s amazing to see a band that are so unapologetically queer excel at their craft and create an album that is quite possibly, if not certainly, their masterpiece.

    Definitely their best album. Pop perfection on its best shape. Synth-pop, electro-pop, country and pop-rock, all combined masterfully. Brilliant.

    Silk chiffon was my number 1 song of 2021, and now I have an excuse to put it on my top songs this year too. Persuading Phoebe Bridgers toSilk chiffon was my number 1 song of 2021, and now I have an excuse to put it on my top songs this year too. Persuading Phoebe Bridgers to sing an upbeat song is already an achievement. But also contained within this album is one of the greatest opening lines to any song on "anything but me". There are some absolute hits on this album, like the aforementioned songs and "home by now" and no real misses. I also love drops in pop songs. Brilliant album, deserving of the "self-titled" moniker.… Expand
