    You couldn't accuse it of being a complicated listen. Thankfully, the truncated frustrations of Catalina Fight Song ensure Joyce Manor are still a challenging one. [26 Jul 2014, p.53]

    Even though it does occasionally dip into overly-saccharine territory--like in the largely plodding End of the Summer--it more often makes for a good match with the band's more heavily melodic--though still energetic--approach.

    The band has continued to expand and refine their ADD-riddle pop-punk into something more substantial and LP3 chronicles the growth in songwriting while maintaining the spastic charm of the band's earlier releases.
