A difficult album to wrap your head around, but embraceable nonetheless. [18 May 2001, p.81]
  2. The only significant problem with Kidman and McGregor's numbers, which constitute half of this 15-track set, is that they don't work as well without the accompanying visuals.

Really, it's not as bad as it sounds.
  4. Between the songs sung by the cast and those by famous popsters, Music From Baz Luhrmann's Film "Moulin Rouge" has a split personality, but this purposefully assembled collection is more cohesive than you'd think -- and that's something that can't really be said for most modern film albums.
  5. This anachronistic pop mix is unpleasant, grating, annoying, and to be honest, seemingly pointless.

This album is the best i've ever heard. The way they take the songs that I love and turn it into duets etc. is just wonderful. The movie This album is the best i've ever heard. The way they take the songs that I love and turn it into duets etc. is just wonderful. The movie is soo powerful and has soo much meaning in it. Ewan and Nicole have so much on-set chemistry. The soundtrack has and equal amount of chemistry and harmony between the two actors. AMAZING! Full Review »
