It’s so different from the rest of the music he has been putting out, and Young Thug shows that he can make hits can transcend the rap world. Many say Young Thug is one of the greatest musicians of the current generation, and with ‘Punk’, he’s proved that to be true.

Impactful and often unexpected, ‘PUNK’ breaks new ground within Young Thug’s identity.

What’s fascinating is how he breaks out of the fugue. Where he once overpowered songs by stretching his tics into main vocals or going on dazzling, hyper-technical runs, his best verses on Punk are in step with the album’s often delicate production.

Punk is relatively odd for an album that debuted at number one on the charts, sneaking some of Young Thug's inherent eccentricity in among its more commercially viable moments.

With his latest album, you get the feeling that these are songs Thug needed to get off of his chest. While not a dazzling record, it opens a door to exciting opportunities.

Punk will likely not be remembered as a great Young Thug album, but we should appreciate that we get to hear him tinker with his sound for when he finally puts it all together again.

Thug is proven to be a man of many talent and has come a long way from his mumble beginning. This is the best and most raw we have ever heardThug is proven to be a man of many talent and has come a long way from his mumble beginning. This is the best and most raw we have ever heard this artist since Beautiful Thugger Girls in 2017. This album is at his peak portfolio and I believe were not even close to the peak of his career.
