Some of these riffs bruv... mad. Unlike the Foo's, these dudes put out their best singles first. Nonetheless, bangin album.

good sounds that make my ears/brain happy when I play them. I recommend this album to people who like when good sounds make their ears/brain happy.

Physically ascended listening to this album, just goes though everything, it's vibrant, grungy, ephemeral, all of it. All packed into a single album deff worth a listen at the very least 5 times.

Packing 14 tracks into 38 minutes, it's very much a sprint, the breathlessness part of its impact, despite this intensity, mainman Jack McEwan steers SHYGA!... clear of excess and keeps his ear on melody throughout. [Apr 2021, p.34]

The first half of SHYGA! contains most of the sharper hits, while the guitars on the second half are allowed to roam looser and longer.

Distinguished by its wide eyed, maddeningly flamboyant mélange of ideas, these Perth psychonauts’ latest is so potent you risk getting tinnitus and/or a contact high from each monolithic twist and turn.
