This album disappointed me when I was listening to at first time. But,later, I enjoyed this thing .I am listening to some songs from their new record now and i love it .
They changed their style into Heavy-metal but with some influence of metalcore sound.
This album is not the best in their discography but you must pay attention to this record, I think.

Trivium finally found the sound they've been looking for since "Shogun", "Silence in the Snow" comes carrying all the great influences of past albums with a touch of intense true Metal and better sounding vocal lines than ever. If you never heard a Trivium album, this is the right time to go for it and if you already know Trivium, you will know that this album is one of their best to happen.

Something new. Having blown out his vocals back in 2014, Heafy ditches the screams and deep growls that have comprised every album up until this point. It's the first Trivium album to feature no unclean vocals of any kind.

This initially sent up many red flags for me. However, once I dove into the album I found a great appreciation for the band's work. They adopt a more melodic metal

This initially sent up many red flags for me. However, once I dove into the album I found a great appreciation for the band's work. They adopt a more melodic metal style while losing none of their power. The results might just be the best album of their career.

The reason it all succeeds is do to Heafy's powerful and improved clean vocals. He's never sounded better when he's not screaming, and it allows for him to pull of styles I've never heard this band use before. It's impressive to see someone who rather recently blew out his vocal cords come back stronger than ever.

The band is still very much metal in sound. The instrumentals are still often heavy. The group still knows how to pull of exciting solos after all of these years, and how to use each instrument to amplify the tone of the song.

Despite the change in sound, this is still very much a Trivium album. You can still tell who this band is when listening to them, but now there's a fresh and exciting twist. The band doesn't break any new ground lyrically, but with everything else turning out so wonderfully it's hard to fault them to much for not making a complete evolution.

Trivium is back with something truly new. Even better is that it feels like a improvement. Not everyone is going to be able to appreciate this new Trivium with a twist. It might even alienate longtime fans more so than their switch back to Ascendancy style music after Shogun. However it's not hard to see how this album could very well open the band up to a wider audience of heavy metal fans. I find their work here to be near flawless, and I can't wait to see how they expand upon this in the future.

What an album again a brilliant release from Trivium songs such as Silence in the Snow and Dead and Gone are personally favourite constantly listened to it when it was released. My second favourite album of 2015 behind Disturbed's Immortalized.

Consistence is present on whole album. The band doesn't sounds with caress of identity without Heafy's screams, opposite of it, this fact adds a fresh and more melodic tone to the album, further that here Trivium selected good elements from classic metal just like Sabbath, Accept, shwedish melodic death metal and Dio's melodic sense, but even so sounding modern, clean, accessible and nice.

[ 6667767768776 = 86/13 = 6.6 ] Expand

Silence in the Snow resolutely satisfies the diehard fan, while at the same time nothing terribly brilliant materializes from that new trick up their sleeve, either.

Every other record in their catalog hinted at their further development as a metal unit; this one doesn't. Trivium are using the building blocks of metal to pursue a wider, more nuanced, musical direction.
