    This is such a special album. It brings joy, hope and resilience through beautifully written lyrics and strong melodies. You can cry and literally dance through your tears listening to this album. I would also like to highlight that the melancholic theme portrayed on the cover by a sad clown is brilliant, once it can be translated as vulnerability wich is something she really showed inThis is such a special album.     Katy Perry did an excellent musical job, she never disappoints, this was what we needed for the pandemic, it is an album that talks about how not to give up and always have your hopes high, songs like NOT THE END OF THE WORLD, CRY ABOUT IT LATER and TEARY EYES are a clear example of what the album reveals, Katy's best record work and one of the best albums of the year.

    With a linear story and great pop production, "Smile" might be Katy's best album. Katy brings a message that many of us is needing to hear to go through these hard times. There isn't single skip, and the highlights are definitely "Cry About It Later" and "Not The End Of The World."

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
