    Apesar de não ter faixas muito diferentes do que já foi feito por Katy, Smile é bem coeso e as músicas têm boa produção. Harleys in Hawai deveria ter recebido mais atenção do público. Not The End of the World e Cry About it Later têm potencial para se tornarem hits, diferentemente do que diz a crítica.

The reason I mention Tucked is that many critics couldn’t understand what’s the audience’s interest and the flow of the music industry nowadays. Their sabotaged of talented artists wouldn’t show they’re superior but only letting the public understand their view don’t matters.… Expand

The album barely got promoted as if it's indicative of lack of faith. Aesthetically it's extremly underwhelming, i cannot wrap my head around the relevance of the clown concept,what is happening here?

    "Never Really Over" it's a very solid dance track with good lyricysm.
    "Cry About It Later" and "Teary Eyes" have weird production, but still they're nice bangerz.
    "Daisies" contains very nice production and imo the best vocals that Katy ever put out. "Resilent" is okay. "Not the End of the World" has a nice intro, and later nice "trap" hook. I love it! "Smile" is nice song, I like this    "Never Really Over" it's a very solid dance track with good lyricysm.

    This album is her best album along PRISM, period. It shows a major growth in her and it's kinda emotional. Thanks for making us smile.

    I love this album and I can't stop listening to it. It has the typical Katy Perry sound, but it's also different from her other albums. I find it more mature. It's full of Fireworks and Roars, it's what we needed in this historic moment.

    This album is a redemption. Katy is washing her hands about all the hate she received in the past. Just like Taylor said everyone is waiting for the brand new toy girl to play whit and then discharge it. She’s a grown up woman and a mother who deserves respect as an artist and as a person.

    Se você não gostou, não ouviu direito. "Not the End of the World" é a minha favorita, me lembrou um pouco o estilo de "Dark Horse", como a própria Katy Perry disse, o "Smile" é o irmão mais velho do "Prism".

The album tells the story of how Katy Perry recovered her smile, bringing a cover that ironizes the album's name, referring to a moment in her life when she compared to the famous "sad clown". We can divide the album into trios of songs that tell a story and talk to each other. Starting with "Never Really Over", "Cry About it Later" and "Teary Eyes", we can call it the "pain" part in Smile, where despite the pain, Katy gives us the feeling of moving forward "dancing", are songs that fit perfectly in her sonority. Next we have the trilogy "Daisies", "Resilient" and "Not the End of the World", in which we can call this trio "overcoming", where Perry presents the path of healing, from these songs Katy shows how she recovered her smile. The next trilogy is "Smile", "Champagne Problems" and "Tucked", we can call it "happiness", taking into account that this happiness was the result of the "overcoming" she had in the past trilogy.     NRO was a bop that was paid dust just because pop genre has been declining. Still my fav. Cry about it later and Only love are good. The latter reminds me of her Thinking of you style back then. The album is a grower for sure.

Although not a Teenage Dream, it is just as good, it just deserves the opportunity to show its value. As it was in 2010, when the same "critics" massacred TD, and today they acclaim and use it for comparison, don't jump to conclusions. Just enjoy the album, which looks amazing.     As músicas podem até não funcionar separadamente, mas dentro do album há coesão e conceito. O album possui ao mesmo tempo musicas experimentais e as clássicas de Katy Perry, sendo Never Really Over e Not The End of the World os destaques.

    a record that will lift you up with beautiful and meaningful pop songs. like a breeze on a sunday afternoon, this album feels very bright and airy. I completely love this, it isn’t boring like other top-rated albums I’ve seen in meta critic. I feel as if these critics are always in their room with the blinds shut as they only like music that is of dark and overwhelming sad lyrics with slowa record that will lift you up with beautiful and meaningful pop songs. like a breeze on a sunday afternoon, this album feels very bright and airy.     Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
