the album is not bad, but I think the ballads that have in it do not stand out and neither are good, I think it stands out more with the electronic songs that are much better than the most "normal" of this album, in the beginning was very good but started to disappoint me a bit if she had focused more on the EDM / Electronic would be much better

The production in the beginning is top notch but it starts to fall off later in the album (Bad Girlfriend). Though, its the lyrics that bother me the most. Especially, in "Perfect", the lyrics are cliche and uplifting which isn't inherently bad but its just so overdone. The lyrics just come across immature. Definitely skip the deluxe version (Breathing Fire is just...) There are too manyThe production in the beginning is top notch but it starts to fall off later in the album (Bad Girlfriend). Overall its an okay debut, there are a few highlights though like; Alarm, Machine, Ciao Adios, Cry, Expand

The amount of talent she has doesn't really come out in this project unfortunately. I think she is capable of amazing work, but this one is very average. The strongest songs are 2002 and Rockabye baby(one of my favorite songs of 2017). The rest resorts to some cliched topics and productions, and other songs are just poor in quality, bad girlfriend comes to mind. It's not bad at all for a debut album, but i'm almost sure she can do WAY better than this. Expand

She has a great talent, but this album is not proof of that. I think she could do it better

As her first official salvo into the pop arena, Speak Your Mind hints at an enticing amount of potential for Anne-Marie and her engaging vocals.

Clocking in at 41 minutes, Speak Your Mind is a slick, well-produced offering that delivers on Anne-Marie’s potential without overstaying its welcome, the best British pop debut in a while.

It would all be so much anodyne chart mulch, but Anne-Marie has something of a plain-speaking everywoman image too. Some tracks here connect a little deeper, offering common-sense snapshots of unglamorous lives.
