Even though "Tell Me You Love Me" lacks the amount of memorable songs that "Confident" had, let's be clear about something: it is her most sonically cohesive body of work till date. Sure, like I said, it has a lot of forgettable songs (like 'Sexy Dirty Love', 'Cry Baby', and 'Games'), but there are other tracks that hit hard: lead-single 'Sorry Not Sorry' is a freakin' savage (no wonder it hit the top 10), 'Only Forever' is a hauntingly beautiful ballad, 'You Don't Do It For Me Anymore' is Lovato's best vocal delivery since 'Stone Cold' or 'Father', 'Concentrate' is a Beyoncé-tinged sex song (go listen to 'Rocket' off her self-titled 2013 album), and 'Hitchhiker' serves as a clever closer, ending the record on a likable note.

Even though the strong tracks on the album are not very many, they're true gems that make up for the weak ones.

Weak compositions and dubious production, but with his powerful voice, Lovato tries to continue the story followed by his "Confident" of 2015. However he already stumbles at the beginning of the album with his confidence shaken with another song pretending not to care.

Demi has left her adorable side behind. She's no longer a little girl who used to pretend she was Kelly Clarkson. Now, Demetria has become a sexual, independent and fierce woman with an unapologetic album under her wing. There some very good tracks (Sorry Not Sorry, Tell Me You Love Me, Daddy Issues, Sexy Dirty Love) and the album is homogenic but most of the tracks have no personality and the final tracks are really really boring. She's very talented and she has one of the best voices of the new generation but most of her songs are just "meh".

Again Demi sorry have some great tracks but the album as whole is Average, you have to find the right & good melodies that are missing in tracks like Games, Lonely, Only Forever & Ruin the friendship tracks like these are forgettable and prevented the album to be good or masterpiece

Right ones: Daddy issues, Concentrate Tell Me You Love Me, You Don't Do It For Me Anymore, Hitchhiker,

Well this was kinda average, it was just nothing special nothing on this album made me excited. This is just a typical album you would expect from a pop singer these days.

Expand

it's a good album but i feel like she doesn't make songs for her or her fans, she makes songs for awards and charts

Honestly this has to be 'just another Demi attempt' on trying to get a Grammy nomination. Apart from the two singles the rest of the songs are very mediocre. Her audience knows she knows how to sing she doesnt need to constantly show that by singing a high note in unneccesary places. Just average. There is no heartbreaking vocal delivery, just some screaming. First songs (singles) were good. "Ruin the Friendship" is the highlight of the album.

Soothing and at the same time powerful whole body of art. Demi once again proved that she can stand up there with the best vocalists alive.

Demi has a great vocal ability and they proved it with this album... I just wish their songs were as good and interesting as their voice. I feel like they got bored while they were working on this. The first 6 songs are good, and I enjoyed them, but can't say the same about the remaining 6. From the 6th track, the album changes completely and becomes bland and forgettable.

The LP gets bogged down in chilled-out trap pop (see the Lil Wayne-assisted "Lonely"). But slow jams like "Concentrate" perfectly balance the downtempo and the energetic.

This is where Tell Me You Love Me improves on Lovato’s previous albums: It gives you enough space to see Demi as something other than a no-holds-barred belter.

The songs aren’t hackwork--they’re catchy and funny and sexy and daring.
