She transformed depression into beautiful songs. Not like Selena, whose songs aren't just written by hers and are generic, basic pop. If at least she knew how to sing...

    When Ariana released 'thank u, next' only half a year after 'Sweetener', as a stan I was like "WOAH!"
    However, on first listen, I did not like this album as much as Sweetener. After a year has passed, thank u, next is her second best album, behind Sweetener. My only issue with this album is that it feels like her most formulaic album since My Everything.

    This record has had my heart. It is extremely cohesive: every song on the album unfolds and conveys (sometimes rebelliously) the pain of a breakup but at the same time Ariana affirms her strength and is up to searching new feelings.

    This album is one of the best I’ve heard by any artist so far. It’s very diverse and explains a story that many people can relate to. It has different genres implemented in every song ranging between trap, pop and ballads. It’s a Grammy-deserving work of art.

    What an AMAZING album.... It's not only my favorite of her albums, but my favorite from any singer. It's not only full of catchy songs, but most of them have a meaning about especially her live, whether it's about the problems of being fame or how hard relationships can be (or ending them(RIP Mac Miller))

    thank u, next is a very cohesive album, where Ariana explores and shows her talent and vocal techniques. It is all that I’ve expected from her as an artist since she started with her music carreer. With this album she established herself as an A-list artist as it reinserts pop music at the top of charts after quite a long time.

    This album is a huge increment on comparation with her other projects, from her now amazing and beautiful vocals in ghostin or needy, til her versatility with 7 rings, this album is cohesive with a great production from Ilya, Max, Savan and Tommy.     Thank u next is an album full of pop bops. There are ZERO collaborations, with 23 co-writers. This spawned hits such as thank u next, 7 rings and break up with your girlfriend, I'm bored. This is one of those rare albums I can go through without skipping.

    There is a BIG difference between tun and sweetener. Finally pharrell isnt producing, max martin is. Great album full of hits.

    I only liked a few songs but overall it was an average album. The songs are a bit too similar with the whole pop vibe and one "ballad". There is 4 songs excluding the single that I would replay so 5/6 out of 10 would give it my rating!! See Ariana fan that's how you rate an album not with 0 because you want another artist user metacritic score to be lower!!

    thank u, next builds on Sweetener by switching modes of scale. It’s less about looking at the world than being by yourself, more focused on the textures of memory than our actions stemming from it. ... thank u, next is also Ariana’s most stunning vocal album.

    [7 Rings] is a hit, but isn’t actually all that great, using Rodgers and Hammerstein’s My Favourite Things as its sing-song musical base. The rest of the album remains of interest for its evolutions in sound, delivery and attitude.
