It's highly conceptual, introspective hip-hop from a producer whose gently tranquilizing mood music feels like the antithesis of crunk. Like "NY's Finest," Time:Line's beatscapes are as soothing as a stiff drink after a hard day's work.
-
It may be only their first full-length, but Time:Line is a strong showing from both musicians, and promises what could be a very fruitful partnership.
-
It takes a minimum of three full listens to really appreciate what’s going on here, so take some time with Time:Line, and reap the rewards of cross-country wav file transmission.
-
Too often, it tries to get by on what it's opposed to instead of what it stands for, a gambit with little margin for error if you don't have a viably exciting alternative, or enough trust in the taste of the listener.
