  1. As loud as What You Don''t See seems at first blush, it's really quite thoughtful.

TSSF find its true sound here and it is a pleasant spin of melodic punk.

What You Don't See holds up its end of the bargain, with rattlegun rhythms, sun-kissed melodies and enough grit in the guitars and frontman Parker Cannon's vocals to offset any saccharine edges. [16 Mar 2013, p.54]

TSSF have created an album that will help young listeners navigate the murky waters of growing up. As for the older listeners? Just appreciate the fact that a band this young are able to write an album this thoughtful and passionate.

The songs are the typical straightforward 4/4 thumpers, the singing is melodic in the most obvious and uninteresting manner, the guitars, bass and drums mesh into one heavily compressed sound with almost no variation in dynamic. My mother could have this on as background music and she wouldn't mind it at all, which is a terrible thing to say of a group that is supposedly influenced by punk. That doesn't make 'What You Don't See' a bad album, but it is no more than an ordinary one. Expand
