It feels uninspired and lazy, just like my review some might say. Have a good day.

I'm trying so hard to enjoy this album but i can't. It seems very messy and the tracks are way to short. The big amount of interlzdes is annoying to me.

This album doesn't convince me. Her vocal performance is not good at all. The lyrics are uninspiring and repetitive. The songwriting(including the melody and the lyrics) is way weaker than the production on the album. The production of some tracks are indeed beautiful and brilliant, but some of the tracks are overproduced and messy. In a lot of tracks, there's nothing to say, but a lot of sounds going on at the same time. If this album is instrumental, I'll like it more. (Also I'm not a big fan of these interludes and intermission, and I don't think they're necessary.) Expand

This feels so fake artsy and boring to me? Crazy, considering ASATT was my fave album of the past decade. This is just horrid.

Incredibly boring and repetitive. It expresses nothing, it is tremendously monotonous and unattractive.

In a year where R&B and hip hop have proved the most innovative and original genres Solange has delivered a brilliantly crafted record that places her right at the top.

Knowles’s instincts guide the cultural conversation in a way that feels healing, intentional and authentically collectiveminded. A well-constructed spell, cast with intention. [May 2019, p.63]

All credit to Knowles, though, whose vision is so cohesive that the 19 short tracks feel like one long, utterly immersive piece. [Jun 2019, p.86]
