I've been a fan of Miley since the Hannah Montana days, and was disapointed by 'Can't Be Tamed' and more so by 'Bangerz'. It's really nice to see her go back to her roots and create such a beautiful piece of art in the form of 'Younger Now'.

Is it a really good album? Yes, it does not leave anything to be desired in quality. But maybe it's just an album that's just to enjoy as a museum exhibit. Highlights for the title track and Miss You So Much. Even if Miley wants to enjoy something "mainstream" she should use Thinkin', but it's also valid if she does not want to use it.

Choosing Malibu as lead was a brilliant idea, but Younger Now as single, besides I love that song, wasn't so smart and this didn't help with the sales on its first week. Except for the featuring, the tracks are really good and could be strong as singles, like Week Without You and Bad Mood, my favourites. I don't think it deserves a 59, but also it no way better than Bangerz.

Miley has a beautiful voice, she had to change, she did well, she has composed all the songs and each of the lyrics is personally and artistically beautiful. When I first heard it I couldn't connect with the production of some of the tracks, but as I listened to it and time passed I can say that the album has aged very well.

I just wish the rollout was better for such a great album. and I honestly think, the wrong singles were chosen - younger now, bad mood and thinking should’ve been the singles before the album dropped. personally, Malibu doesn't capture the feel of the record and younger now opens the album perfectly and explains this whole “change” magnificently and I think if YN was the first song heard w/ the video the era would’ve been handled smoother (by the GP too).

Following paths different from her styles, Miley Cyrus hit and managed to squander all her talent and who manages to work with styles that doesn't come to the comfort zone. The shallow lyrics and simple productions end up giving an unpretentious air to the album and ending up not airing a sound album, but it shows that she is not here to please anyone other than herself and her fans.

Eu adoro. Miley gets restrained as she goes country pop on Younger Now. A more secured and in love Miley is shown, unburdened from the pressure of fame and character progression. Though the record failed to impress and surprise—unlike what Bangerz did—Younger Now is Miley’s most light and freeing record.

Maybe this ain't the best album cyrus could've gave to public, the album in general goes the same and the same, the lyrics are not bad, but are kind of weak and the production is not the best, no excuses of country influences, but the fact that she wrote it by herself, she opened her heart so that's something stands the most of this album.

Demi Lovato wasn’t the only Disney star releasing recently. In fact, she went head to head with Miley Cyrus a few weeks ago when the former Hannah Montana released her sixth studio album, “Younger Now”. Even though the passionate love song “Malibu” was the perfect way to begin Miley’s new era, the overall direction didn’t play in her favor.

Say goodbye to the sassy, audacious and sexual Miley Cyrus you remember from “Bangerz”. Say also goodbye to the urban bops she delivered during that same era. Miley sets the record straight right from the first track: “I’m not afraid of who I used to be”, she sings during “Younger Now”, the album’s first track. Of course she is not… After all, if it wasn’t for all that craziness around her, Miley wouldn’t have happened post Disney Channel. In fact, I believe that Miley Cyrus thought she became such a big name out of her previous era that she could come, sing country and just slay the charts as she once did. Well, that didn’t work.

In a big mixture between country and pop, Miley delivers in “Younger Now” her most personal record so far. Besides the title track and “Malibu” (dedicated to her current boyfriend), Miley sings about other sort of personal things for her. Her hippie roots are of course present in the record as she constantly discusses peace. That can be heard in the cute peaceful tune “Inspired”, a song she dedicates to her father but that can be easily adapted to other circumstances or in “Rainbowland”, a duet with Dolly Parton and possibly the worst song on the record. Slap me now but I really can’t find Dolly’s accent amusing and she speaks quite a lot during the song…

This mixture between Pop and Country can be heard throughout the entire record. There’s obviously Pop and Country songs individually but many - “Younger Now”, “Week Without You” or “Miss You So Much” - do share the trend. Thinking about it, I believe that the only real and pure country tune is the Dolly Parton duet. The beautiful and emotional “I Would Die Without You” represents the end of the album’s first half and kicks its second part… Way more Pop and way less country.

“Thinkin’” comes right after and it obviously contains the album’s catchier chorus as she repeats words such as “much”, “‘nuff” or “touch” quite a few times. Impossible not to sing along. On the other hand, in “Bad Mood”, the production kicks in and Miley gets me confused as I thought her relationship was a fairytale. In it she says “we're held together just by a string” and in the following track, “Love Someone”, she goes “I'm kinda getting tired of dealing with all your stress”. I am not sure what those are supposed to mean but I know the songs are quite flawless as she brings up her bad attitude.

Before “Inspired”, we still have “She’s Not Him”, one of the most interesting songs lyrically as Miley takes an approach to her pansexuality.

The former Disney star has already announced she is not touring with this album. I am certain that there won’t be any more hits coming from it. “Malibu” was and will keep on being the only single-worthy song off “Younger Now”. I guess we will all have to see the album sinking as a ship as there is basically no salvation. Nonetheless, I will be here waiting for a new era.

'Younger Now' sees Miley Cyrus completely switching gears, leaving behind the 'edgy **** persona she adapted for 'Bangerz'. The record is musically diverse, jumping from country to pop, to rock, back to country, and it is lyrically her most personal effort (7 out of 11 tracks were solely written by Ms Cyrus herself). Right in the middle of the LP, there is the strong duo 'Miss You So Much''Younger Now' sees Miley Cyrus completely switching gears, leaving behind the 'edgy **** persona she adapted for 'Bangerz'. Right in the middle of the LP, there is the strong duo 'Miss You So Much' and 'I Would Die For You', which are brilliantly-made soulful confessional songs. Other songs like 'Week Without You' and 'Thinkin' showcase the fun Cyrus has while recording. However, there are a few songs like 'Rainbowland' (a collab with her Godmother, country icon, Dolly Parton) and 'Love Someone' that feel a bit boring in the midst of an album that contains hard-hitting songs such as 'Bad Mood' and 'Inspired'.

While making this album, Miley said she 'didn't concern herself with sales or radio-play', and frankly it's very obvious she just wanted to make songs leaning back on her roots, and have fun while she's at it. Whatever she's singing about, the most beautiful thing about this pack of songs, is that they're all coming straight from her heart.

While possibly making lots of musical decisions based on public image, Cyrus’s singular strength of crafting personal melodies couldn’t overcome empty and lackluster collection of short songs this album came to be, thanks to the shallow acoustic sound and the rather lazy, repetitive progressions. I love Miley as a person and as an artist i like her, but this new album has no vibe, is not deep on her lyrics, is way too bored and a little repetitive. Her vocals sound tired, with no motivation it all. SHE CAN DO BETTER!

This album is not the best of it, but it does not stop being good. Maybe some holes and the predawn of repetitive melodies have the problem, but in parts your voice sounds great in country.

A recipe well known being well-done by Cher and Stevie Nicks, while being reignited by Lady Gaga and Kesha, it is now being recycled by MIley Cyrus. Looking up to her godmother, with whom she cooperates, MIley's new country pop record does the job, but nothing further.

Highlights: Younger Now, Malibu, Rainbowland, Week Without You, Thinkin'.

I actually don't know what to think about that. I mean, it is catchy, some songs are pretty good, but this album is not good as Bangerz. The thing is that Miley has changed, she is mature than she was then, but after Malibu was released, I was expecting slow-pop album and not so acoustic.

Younger Now is the best way for Miley to gain her "good girl" image back. This album was vital to be less controversial with a change in the sound for Miley. This album was vital to be less controversial with a change in the sound for Miley. Allthough it does accomplish this mission, it fails to accomplish being a good album. There are only few tracks worth listening to from this mess of an album. She tries to make country music, which is fine, but she just isn't meant for it, making it totally clear that she tries hard and fails. Half of the songs are forgettable, with mediocre production and boring lyrics. There are some moments when Miley does deliver a good song, but these aren't enough to save the album from the rest of its songs. Expected more from Miley, a real talented artist.

This album feels very fabricated. She's come off her wild ways on Bangerz and is now trying to display some form of peaceful transition and it just feels fake. Some of the songs on the record such as Younger Now are ok, the others are just stereotypical of country music, I'm highly disappointed. Bangerz deserved a better follow-up

This new album Miley has left a lot to talk about, Miley has left us disappointed as this new album has many songs of filling, titles, lyrics and very basic rhythms something we did not expect from Miley, this shows that getting together with Katy does not leaves nothing good.

I love Miley, but this album is reductive. Joanne is a better album, but at least is better than Witness. I like that she is doing what she likes, but the all the songs sound the same. Buy Fetish and Bad Liar on iTunes.

Mam mieszane uczucia..

This has to be one of Miley's worst album to date. I appreciate the fact that she is trying to evolve as a musician but this was not a very good attempt.

I only liked 2 of the 9 songs so I'm giving it a 3/10. Fair. I think it's cohesive but the songs are simply not good. They are cheesy, repeating a constant theme during the whole album and showing that miley doesn't have a lot to say and to offer.

Infelizmente o álbum é ruim! Me esforcei, escutei, escutei de novo e não me desceu. i just wish the roll out was better for such a great album. and i honestly think, the wrong singles were chosen - younger now, bad mood and thinkin should’ve been the singles before the album dropped. personally, malibu doesnt capture the feel of the record and younger now opens the album perfectly and explains this whole “change” magnificently and i think if YN was the first song heard w/ the video the era would’ve been handled smoother (by the gp too).

and also, im curious to see how this’ll do. i know miley will have a #1 record im just curious as to the critical acclaim it’ll get and im sure she’s going to get grammy noms - this is a grammy album. and despite her not making as mainstream music as demi, selena or ariana; miley remains the most creative ex act honestly. Where her past albums felt messy but painfully sincere, Younger Now comes off as safe and overly sanitized, with the frisson that made Cyrus a star all but entirely blasted away. ... Still, the album has some plainly good songs.
