13 is a much more natural sounding effort than the group's 2009 EP Black Cocaine.

As much as I enjoy 13 and think it's probably his best solo work to date, I would like Havoc to floor me with a knockout album, rather than just leaving me feeling reasonably content.

Despite using a familiar formula, Havoc’s beats never sound too dated here; new techniques in his repertoire, such as using more melodic synths and complicated drum arrangements, keep things sounding fresh. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for his lyrics.

Even if you appreciate Havoc's reliability, you'll miss Prodigy's unpredictable diction.

Ultimately, fans looking for a solid but not necessarily classic addition to the Infamous Mobb Deep catalogue, should be satisfied with 13.
