Otra gran producción de Adele, cada canción es única. Me han gustado casi todas, unas más que otras. Wather under the Bridge y I miss you son mis favoritas.

Alors qu'Adele avait mis la barre très haute avec 21, elle prouve une fois encore qu'elle est capable de proposer de nouveaux sons aussi bons que variés.

Petit bémol: "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)" plombe la première partie de l'album (2ème piste). Max Martin n'aurait jamais dû collaborer avec Adele.

Álbum muito depressivo o que deixa um pouco a desejar. 25 é mais um álbum de Adele mostrando que a própria cantora não tem personalidade de inovação. O álbum é muito sofrido e nada pop.

I am really torn on this album it isn't something I normally listen to but I didn't hate it but at the same time I don't think it quite lived up to all the hype it got. Sorry this review won't be much help all I can say is give it a listen and judge for yourself.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The problem with the album is that it succeeded '21'. Media and fans expectations were a little too high after the undeniable geniality and power of Adele's previous album. Its not bad at all, is pretty cohesive in the lyrics and rhythm; besides, of course, the godlike voice of the british singer. Its clear that in this 4 years Adele had a great maturation in her musical perception — bringing her more confidence and making '25' a great, great album. In its most is very bright, but it can't help to fall in some clichés like the drowsy, dull 'A Million Years Ago'. It doesn't disappoint, neither overwhelms anyone. It's a satisfying comeback. Expand

Great album from Adele. A strong 8/10. Fantastic vocal, fantastic album. Adele in 25 tries some similar sounds we're used to from her and on a few tracks tries some new stuff as well. Unlike her first albums there is nothing groundbreaking to 25 but it still is a great listen.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Saddening. I would put the album a 5 or 6 max, because the album was not good at all, but I put 1 because of a simple fact : She left from music for 4 years and let everyone expecting SO much of her return, and pretty much the success in her return was the consequence of she being long for a long time, but it was pure and plain overrating. The album does not deservers the sells it is making, the last album does deserves all these records, this album is only too overrated.

So, she has ALOT of time to make an epic album, still she wasnt able to deliver one, thats why I put 0, because in those 4-5 years she could have made many, many more songs and better songs. There are artists out there who make albums every year not because they are all money hungry, but because their true passion is music, and thats ALL they want to do 24 hours a day 7 days a week, thats why they are able to deliver so many songs in a year and VERY good ones. If someone has music as a passion if someone truly loves music, and has the voice to make their music come true, not sure why someone has to waste 4-5 years to deliver 11 songs (is not even a full album, NORMALLY an artist makes 16 in a deluxe version) and none of them has a melody that amazes. I like all the songs from the album, I bought it myself before it even was officially launched, still I had to listen each song atleast 10 times to like it, I literally heard each song 10 times because I couldnt beelieve I could only like 3 songs from the album, I was like "no, this isnt happening, I was a fan of Adele and I expected alot from her, Im sure if I hear it more I will like it" and yes, I like it now, and I actually love some songs, but really, if you ask me, this is not at all the potential Adele has.

These songs should be part of the "Leaked" list of songs of Adele, anyway Adele doesnt even has leaked songs because it seems she doesnt enjoy her passion as a musician too much, because if she did, she would have so many songs already that they would leak. My to fav artists have always been Adele, Lana del Rey and Jaymes Young, still Lana del Rey has showed so much passion to music since she is 20 years old, that she has around 230 songs, and only 15% of them are official, the rest are leaked. She even said in an interview she just doesnt care about them being leaked, is not like she wants every single penny out of people's pocket, she loves music and she delivers it. If someone is smart enough to stop criticizing her and deep themselves into her world, then good for them, if not, then keep on criticizing. Not sure why Adele doesnt have so many songs as Lana if she has the potential to make her dream songs come true.

Really, if I was Adele I would be 24 hours a day 7 days a week thinking about "sounds" and making sounds with my voice to make a new song. Iw ould be the whole time getting ideas for deep writting and magic melodies. Im disappointed about Adele, hopefully she is just showing her lazy side and actually he made 2 albums and the next album will be launching soon.

Adele is a greedy artist and sure, money is needed, but with all her success with just her last album, not sure why keep on being greedy with a second one, and still dont start to focus more on having fun with her voice and talent to make more songs for her, and stop STRICTLY ONLY launching Paid to listen songs.

Adele's voice is captivating as ever, but the lyrical content is lacking too much to simply be ignored. Not quite reaching the emotional yet upbeat yet deep content that her album 21 had, I think that she settled a bit. She has an incredible voice, she could've done more.

Adele Heads In The Right Direction With "25":

Although incredibly successful, I did not care much for 21, but understood it's hype entirely. With 25, Adele showcases more of what she's about and more audible variety. "Hello" is mistaken for a song about an ex-lover whereas it's actually a song to her younger self. 25 is mature, yet fun and a highlight in 2015 pop music. BEST: Hello,

I can't help but wonder what do these people want to reinvent with Adele, if this is the style that brought her success and identifies with her, as long as she can bring something new and good I don't think it's necessary to change what is already good. Adele can be viewed as an artist with a great ensemble of ballads and low tempo songs, but when someone attributes this with the songs being boring, not only is this misleading but it also gives a negative perspective on the state of music these days, anything that doesn't have an obnoxious bass in it, anything that makes you think and put attention to what your hearing is automatically called boring, I can't help but think these people are mostly people that don't listen to music they listen to background noise.
What is a good Pop album? In other words what is a solid pop album, many a times it's difficult to identify a good pop album when the main problem lies in something people don't usually see, the lyrics. Adele being overrated means that she isn't a particularly special artist, that she is like every other pop artist. People that like to compare her work to the work of other pop artist are not listening to her lyrics, do these lyrics have to be deep and insightful to be good, no. Why? Because as long as your lyrics are clever and from the heart, they are good lyrics. Many people don't realize that these other so called "good as Adele" artists write lyrics that are repeated, can fit on your finger and that can be written by a monkey. As a whole, I think this album is a worthy entry to Adele's discography, and one of the better albums this year.

Of course though, Adele shines brightest when she is doing what she does best. "When We Were Young" finds the singer in her absolute vocal and songwriting prime, and is easily the album's finest moment. A future classic for Adele.

While 25 isn't quite as candid as 19 or as emotionally raw and cohesive as 21, it makes for another fine outing from Adele and is welcome return for this once-in-a-generation talent.

This album is phenomenal! Adele proved us that the hype for this album is well deserved. The lyrics, her vocals, it's all amazing. However, Adele might need reinvention for her next album before she starts to bore people. And I am also hoping for more depth in her music. But she shouldn’t be: her vocals are controlled yet wildly free, expressing a maturity beyond her years and emoting compelling tales of romance we’ve heard time and time again, only from one of modern music’s most divine vocal talents. Even when her balladry becomes cheesier than an order from your local diner, it’s beautifully sang. It’s wearying when you hear it throughout—she described 25 as a “make-up” record, however, it’s equally as concerned with the past as its predecessor is, if lead single “Hello” didn’t make it any clearer—but the formula works: 25 is set to sell the more copies in its opening week in history and we’ll likely hear them for the rest of our lives.

The Max Martin-produced “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)”, an obvious highlight that shows Adele is capable of singing catchy hooks too, is already destined to become her so-and-so-th number-one hit in numerous countries and AC radio stations should be ordering every single song right this second. As Adele has said, her initial vision of a follow-up to 21 was a “boring” album about “being a mom”, so let’s be that thankful. The music is grandiose, commonly exploring gospel and soul influences, and despite the many producers signed on, it manages to sound consistent and Adele remains a dominant force throughout. Adele and Damon Albarn’s material may never see the light of day—he called her “insecure” and “middle of the road”, quite unfairly—and her next record may go down the same road. But as disappointing as it may be to analyze for critics and cynics, 25 is a representation of a woman who has conquered the world and that’s not a boring story.

clearly Adele needs to settle down from raising her children and decide to focus fully on writing great songs if she don't want to be seen as a singer living on past glories. this album will burn off most of the goodwill from her previous albums and set records, but the album after this won't do as well anymore if she don't get her high standards back.

All i can say is that 25 is the best, most cohesive album I have heard in recent times. I honestly can't wrap my head around the reviewers saying this album sounds just like 21. I honestly can't wrap my head around the reviewers saying this album sounds just like 21. If you actually listened to the 21 album (and not just glanced it over), you honestly will not be able to say that. With this album, Adele has progressed her sound to be a bit brighter, more expressive, and more introspective. The songs, just like 21 did with heartbreak, gives you a full tour on the ups and downs of life and coming to terms with the resultant journey. Honestly, when i was done listening to the album, I felt like all those little feelings I had hiding somewhere inside were finally able to come to the surface. The only drawback for me is the long string of ballads towards the end. However, when Sweetest Devotion comes on, you realize why it was arranged that way. Honestly, 25 is better than 21 as far as I'm concerned (but not by much), as it shows progression of life and story.

Best Tracks: Hello (classic), I Miss You (my best), When We Were Young (classic), River Lea, Love in the Dark, All I Ask (another classic), and Sweetest Devotion (best album closer I've ever heard)

NB: This album will be a 10 if not for the long line of ballads towards the end. The only (slight) drawback to this album I can honestly find.

EDIT: Giving this album a 10. For 2 reasons: It sounds perfect on shuffle, and also so as to combat the stupid negative reviews this is getting. So congrats Adele. You get a 10.

Adele's new album 25 probably won't live up to the legacy of 21, but it shouldn't be compared to it since it isn't trying to be 21. 25 is a great album, holding a roster of amazing songs that will probably be playing on the radio nonstop for the next year. This is an album worth buying.

Very overrated. Some beautiful music but lyrically many are repetitive and banal. Brilliant voice but that does not equate to much if the songs are blah. If not for 21, this would not be popular. She is incredibly likeable and talented but half the album is filler. She needs to release instrumentals.

It's not bad and not good. "Hello" sounded pretty samesy in comparison to her earlier work, and so my expectations were set to meh. This album has it's moments for sure, and as a whole it's ultimately pretty but dull, with many songs staying past their welcome. Her voice is beautiful, but there are only so many pop ballads a human can take.

Her album follows its predecessor with stellar vocals, full blown emotional artwork, silky smooth and appealing beat and rhythm, and song lyrics crafted like its a sweet little poem. Obviously, just this wouldn't cut it, but Adele knows that. Adele seemed to work tenfold times harder on this album: She went on a couple year hiatus to live her life in order to, find some award winning content and to basically have a life other than her career; As revealed by her in the Rolling Stone interview, she focuses solely on the music and her music reflects her as a person and her recent experiences--Art--Personal art! Finally, an artist realizes the actual purpose of music for cripes sake! Music is intended as a go to way to express personal experiences and emotions, set up in a melody and beat that THEY FEEL matches with what they're experiencing, and ultimately, used to help them process their emotions! No auto tune, NO HYPERSEXUALIZED WOMEN USED TO RAKE IN VIEWS, no flat and mechanical vocals/lyrics, and full of absolutely apparent emotional struggle! The only criticism that I have is that a select few of the songs seem filler-y. But overall, the album is sure to send 21 to no. 2 on the Billboard's #BestOfAllTime--Albums. At this point, the album already deserves a 9.5, but Adele's personality rockets it to a 10: She's humorous, kind, doesn't get carried away by dangerous things(Ex: fame), and just overall is a wonderful person. The only bad habit that she has is her outrageously frequent swearing. Keep on it Adele! I know you are very afraid to fail, but don't let that control your life. Remember this: You need to realize that everybody has infinite potential and that with courage all people will have a 95% chance to reach that sweet success. Just be careful, make sure you don't start running away from your burdens; They will only get deadlier the more you run. Deal with your emotions, but try to also be happy--In combination with diplomacy, this is the healthiest way to live life! Even science has proven this! Expand

It's a bit disappointing because seems that she still had a lot of possibilities to work with the same contemporary soul/pop sound aesthetic of 21. 25 it's more simple, there's few layers, then some songs sounds flat, with a poor instrumental, like "Hello". I don't understand the most of the choices she made in 25, like "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)" and "Water Under the Bridge", but there are times when the simple sonority seems more close to the clear and organic, like in "I Miss You", "When We Were Young", "Love in the Dark" and "All I Ask". And even when the singer collaborates with producers who at times sound formulaic and radio friendly, she brings them to new levels. Max Martin, who has created pop anthems for Katy Perry, Britney Spears and Taylor Swift, sounds unrecognizable on "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)," which has Adele on guitar. Bruno Mars and his producer cohorts, Philip Lawrence and Christopher Brody Brown, work more than magic on the R&B-flavored "All I Ask," another piano tune that immediately grabs your attention
And that's just it: "25" not only meets incredibly high expectations, it exceeds them.
Adele's growth is best heard on "Million Years Ago," a touching, soft song that is majestic and unforgettable.
"Sometimes I just feel it's only me, who never became who they thought they'd be, I wish I could live a little more, look up to the sky, not just the floor," she sings in her top-notch tone.

The 11-track album is not a far stretch from "21," the singer's best-selling 2011 album that helped her reach nearly impossible heights in contemporary music. "Love In the Dark," written with Sia collaborator Samuel Dixon, is reminiscent of "Turning Tables" from "21"; she's looking back on "When We Were Young," which sounds like a pop classic; and the drum-filled "I Miss You" is eerie and moody — in a good way.

Even the top-selling single, "Hello," continues to sound better and better after each listen.

"Hello, can you hear me?" she sings.

Yes, Adele. And we're so glad we do.

    1. Hello: This song is too infamously good to be reviewed. We've all been hung up on it. We all listened until our ears bled. A great opener for the album. 10.

    2. Send My Love (To Your New Lover): If this isn't the catchiest song Adele has ever sung, then I don't know what is. It's a great very-well-delivered song in which Adele points one last middle finger at an ex. Catchy and well-produced, but still catches the core of Adele. 9.

    3. I Miss You: the production, awesomely held by Mr. Epworth, tumbles with Adele's smoky and beautiful vocals floating on it. Despite the lack of instruments, the track still hits hard. Try not to dance-sob at this one (I don't know what dance-sobbing is). 8.

    4. When We Were Young: The song that is most reminiscent of the sound of 21, the song hits harder than it should. "Let me photograph you in this light / In case it is the last time / That we might be exactly like we were / Before we realized we were sad of getting old". This one is sure to struck a chord in every human being. 8.5.

    5. Remedy: Back working with Ryan Tedder, Adele and the genius producer made a very worthy successor to their "Rumour Has It". This is the thing everybody wants to hear: Adele's stripped down raw vocals over a simple piano, promising to be our remedy. Beautiful. 8.

    6. Water Under the Bridge: Sounds like nothing Adele has ever done before. And it really suits her. A solid track that may as well grow on you more and more with each listen. 8.

    7. River Lea: Such a great song. There's nothing to be said here. Everything works. Lyrics. Vocals. Production. Great song. 9.5.

    8. Love in the Dark: Yet another track reminiscent of the 21 sound. A great song that is an obvious single choice. Adele does here what she does best: leave listeners in heartache. The orchestral feel even aggravates things. 9.5.

    9. Million Years Ago: The jewel of the disc. That guitar riff. That killer chorus. That raw vocal performance. It is safe to say that this is one of the most genuine and beautiful Adele has ever created. 10(++++++++).

    10. All I Ask: Adele's vulnerability kills the song over that simplistic piano-based production, as she asks her lover to "give me a memory i can use". Yet another beautiful track. 8.5.

    11. Sweetest Devotion: Kicks off with a background voice of Angelo (her son), the song is, like the rest of the album, deep and well-arranged. The vocals hit so hard during the chorus, which makes the song a great closer to a very good record. 8.5.

All in all, 25 is a step in another totally different direction from 21, yet an excellent follow-up to its 30-million-selling predecessor. 9.

I feel everyone is being rough to Adele. They have basically stated that the reasons why this album is so bad, is because it took 4 years. She got 30 million sales on 21! Why wouldn't you create a similar album! I love everything on this album, and I definitely think you will too. Also, anyone who is purposely negatively rating this album, or has no reasons to why they are negatively rating this album, can go keep on sucking Taylor Swift's generic, overrated dick. 25 is vocally best than 21 , although I'm not sure if better in composition , risked with Send My Love (To Your New Lover ) something a little different to it , yet Adele did an excellent job on songs like When We Were Young and Hello , Does it really was worth the wait ?, in my opinion yes, but do not think you can beat the mastery of his previous album ..

The album strength is within its single "Hello." Many of the b-sides on this album don't deliver that same punch that the song on 21 did. There are positives to pull out like the writing of Max Martin and Tobias Jesso Jr, but 25 sounds like its going along the same blueprint that 21 did before and it just comes of as bland.

I wasn't very excited for this album because I knew Adele won't change her "full-ballad" style. And I was right. Her songs are good, but if she won't change her style then she become very repetitive. That's why the only song I enjoyed was Send My Love. Now go dislike this review fanboys.

Adeles long awaited comeback album is never particularly baffling; it stays moderately safe. But at the same time it's hard to avoid the dwelling of emotion in When We Were Young or River Lea. All choruses seem to click, and 25 stays moderately cool with its bigger sound and rare boring moments, it's just about a worthy return.

"Send My Love" and "I Miss You," tracks 2 & 3 respectively, were underwhelming, however the rest of the album was on point. Definitely worth the money, but don't be afraid to pick up a copy!

I really really really like this album. It's definitely one of my favourite albums of 2015. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First thing to say is: what makes a good record?
Without doubt, amongst the important points there is maintaining a good balance. Although I personally love ballads and sad songs, accompanied with a piano and a bunch of strings, 11 or more songs of the same kind can be overwhelmingly corny - and as negative would be an album made of mere up-tempos and poppy songs.
With Adele the risk is to unwillingly fall in the first case-scenario. She is queen of drama, and she nails every single heartbreaking or tears-dropping song, and therefore she may easily tempted to put together a dozen or so of them, then name that group and release it as a record.
However, I don't think she did that with 25. As someone would expect, this album contains numerous ballads, from "Remedy" to "All I Ask", with piano as a constant instrument throughout them, but they are well balanced by a few more catchy and poppy tunes, as "Send My Love (To Your New Love)", which sounds like a breakthrough for Adele, and "Water Under The Bridge", another pop song that reminds a suspended bubble in which the voice reverberates. Along with those tracks, we can find more "19-ish" sounds like in "Million Years Ago", where Adele's voice is followed by a guitar, this time taking inspiration from Spanish and French music.
To be honest, 25 could still be judged a little bit too sweet and sad, and someone could also dare saying "boring after a few songs", but it is a matter of taste.
As for the themes, we finally see Adele literally on the other side of a relationship: in "Love You In The Dark" we hear her telling a man she can't love him anymore, and to take off his eyes from her. It is one of the most emotional tracks, with intense strings playing along the piano, and the voice weaved on them as a continuous web.
In "I Miss You", probably the most smoky and intriguing song, she touches the sphere of sexuality singing "Treat me soft but touch me cruel". And here we see another peculiarity of 25: the bigger maturity if compared with 19 or 21, which spreads all over the record, soaking into every melody.
Nostalgia and memories flood in "When We Were Young", where Adele showcases all her vocal range - with stunning low notes I have to say -, "Million Years Ago" and "River Lea". This last song is worth mentioning for its gospel-like chorus and its nature as "Tottenham's hymn".
Closing the record, we find "All I Ask" and "Sweetest Devotion". The former is a beautiful piano-driven ballad, composed together with Bruno Mars, in which Adele puts lots of passion and vocal skills, through melismas and a massive key change at the end.
The last track, "Sweetest Devotion" is dedicated to his son and, generally, to her new life with her husband and her child. It is, as the lyrics say, an explosion of joy and love. Heart-melting the voice of her kid at the beginning and at the end.
Summing up, Adele's "25" is another masterpiece containing musical pearls shining with depth and emotion, and somehow overcoming her last album, "21".

The year's most awaited album 25 is finally here. The first listen itself is pretty impressive. The album has been on repeat since I got it, except for some songs which I skip sometimes. The first listen itself is pretty impressive. The album has been on repeat since I got it, except for some songs which I skip sometimes. Yes, it is a good album, but it's not timeless. It doesn't live up to the hype. Perhaps the small duration between the launch of the lead single, Hello, and the album, actually overhyped the album, apart from the fact that 21 was such a blockbuster. The opening is going to be massive but eventually that would act as a poison to the otherwise fine album. It would get criticized for not having the material of that high quality.

The salient feature of this album is it's omnipresent Adele-ness and Bruno Mars sincerity on one song (which is easily the best song). The lyrics aren't as great as they were on 21, some songs (I Miss You, Send My Love, Sweet Devotion) seem a bit strained. However, Love in the Dark and Sweet Devotion are songs which have the capacity to grow on the listeners, as they have the necessary depth.

But at the end of the day, Adele's vocals (despite minor amounts of audible auto-tune) make even an average, repetitive songs (I Miss You) sound beautiful and that's what her fans chiefly look out for. I, for one, think the album could have been better. It's great, but not perfect.

    The best songs are:

    1. All I Ask
    2. When We Were Young
    3. Hello
    4. A Million Years Ago
    5. Water Under the Bridge.

    Misses:
    1. I Miss You
    2. Remedy
    3. River Lea (too much niche)

    Final rating: 7.5/10

    Necessary comparisons?

    25 Vs 21
    25. I was never a great fan of 21. It's a very sad record. So is this one, but 25 has an edge. I love quite a few songs on 21, nonetheless.

    25 Vs 1989 (Taylor Swift)
1989. Might sound a little irrelevant comparison to some, but 1989 was the biggest (pop) record of last year and 25 is of this year. Apart from that, the two records share a few co-writers and style. 1989 is a glossy, young age record, but it is near-perfect. It doesn't sound strained or wannabe at any point. It is a wholesome record for it's demography. 25, on the other hand, tries a little hard at multiple points. The competition is neck-to-neck, but 1989 has a small edge.

Adele's songs always give that special feeling to the listener, and surely she isn't a singer that all of the ages would love. Adele has many fans, especially young people. It's exactly what I was waiting, and it was worth it. Adele came back with a record that perfectly summarises life experiences in the same way "21" did, but instead of raw anger now we have hope, nostalgia, undying love, etc. A triumph of giagantic proportions.

Compared to 21, 25 is slightly refreshing and shows a side of Adele that has never been seen before. With her soulful voice she is able to capture the emotions that she conveyed in 21 without sounding too repetitive. With this album Adele successfully manages to follow up her 2011 blockbuster album and leaves us breathless with anticipation for her next album!

What a beautiful album! Love the lyrics, and of course Adele's gorgeous voice. It was well worth the wait! I also love that she doesnt over saturate the market with constant songs. Its nice for artists to go away for a bit and then come back better than ever - at least those with true talent as Adele has!

Singles "Hello" and "When We Were Young" remain highlights on the record, but aforementioned tracks like "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)," "I Miss You" and "Water Under the Bridge," not to mention "River Lea," hear Adele taking a welcome detour from the orchestral piano-pop formula and moving towards more interesting, groove-driven patterns.

Throughout these towering production flourishes, Adele's vocals cast an even vaster shadow: swooping, swerving, blaring brassily and cooing tenderly, a full orchestra unto itself that's theatrical, unpredictable, and dynamic.

The songs are not so much about love as the memory of love and, accordingly, there's a chasm between her aggressive vocal runs and the cautiously generalist lyrics, especially on the maudlin latter half.
