I sometimes wish all the negative reviews would actually COME UP with a reason why the album is terrible, even though it's not. A slightly different sound from 21, but expected from a change in the theme. Still has that awesome powerful vocals and deep lyrics which we can all admit to knowing what the song means on so many different levels.
Highly anticipated and it doesn't disappoint a new mature and grown up album to show Adeles personal journey and changes in the last four years. Once again she's smashed it!

After 21, which had great singles and nice album tracks and four year of expectation, Adele releases a very underwhelming album. Hello was good, not as good as 21 's singles but a solid track. Except Hello I can only point two more good tracks, Water Under The Bridge and I Miss You.

Absolutely fantastic. This is a masterpiece. Adele focuses on vocals, not much on instruments which is what makes her truly great. You get to enjoy the pure voice that she's got.

Adele's comeback is satisfactory. The album is the woman she became after '21', with a family, with a career made. But, the album is nothing different from things we have already heard, the only addictive thing here, that changes the perspective of many people to think this is the "album of the millennium": her voice.
It's a good album. Just good, but deserves a 80 rating.

In the first-time listening,25 is what comes from Adele but not further. Except fresher tracks Million Years Ago and I Miss You, the rest is pleasant but usual. In fact, the blame is on Adele`s status: being loyalty to roots is boring while trying new styles is disappointing for her!

Finally we have a new work from Adele, after four years listening to its predecessor, "21". The creation’s process and development of the album was subtle and reading, but it was worth the wait. As Adele said in an interview with Rolling Stone, the album brings a bit of maternal essence - citing "Ray of Light" by Madonna as an inspiration.

The album begins with the powerful ballad "Hello", which took more than six months to complete. It’s obviously a farewell to that Adele's "21", a farewell to her lover who broke her heart. This is complement on "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)" in which Adele sings account that finally overcame and gave up, and it's even kind enough to say to your ex send reminders to your new love and advises him to treat it best.

In previous album, Adele was unsure, but in "I Miss You" she is more confident and provocative, to metaphorically explain that your love is now true and lasting and that it makes her so well that she misses her man when he’s far away. And in "When We Were Young" she declares this intense love with memories, and admits that she may be able to be the "Remedy" for everything.

It’s also worth noting wonderful and touching tracks like "Water Under the Bridge", "Love in the Dark," "Million Years Ago", it’s talk about so much things that she misses that was took of her when she did success worldwide and had to leave the old e calm life, and "All I Ask", which the latter had additional composition of Bruno Mars and was wonderful in Adele's voice.

Motherhood influenced Adele to make its lighter composition and the most creative production, enjoy more music rather than maintaining the simplicity of a piano. "I Miss You" and "Sweet Devotion", produced by the incredible Paul Epworth, and "Water Under the Bridge", with touches by Greg Kurstin, are the main instrumental changes Adele, but "Send My Love" and “River Lea”, produced by Max Martin, Shellback and Danger Mouse, brings an environment which refers to the album "19" and songs like "Right As Rain", "My Same", “Cold Shoulder” and "Tired".

Finally, as many musical critics say, an artist only truly finds its essence when it releases third album and here we have the "25" with 11 tracks bringing the most complete, real and emotional word by Adele Adkins, a woman who is in constant personal growth and professional. I’m not a fan, but this need to be admit, that’s all.

This album is perfection!!! This woman can sing the phone book to me. It's certainly very different from '21' but every track is just terrific. My standouts are Hello, Send My Love (To Your New Lover), When We Were Young, Water Under The Bridge, River Lea, and Sweetest Devotion.

Unlike Michael Jackson , who spent his career chasing an equivalent success to the Thriller, Adele did not yield to temptation to make a statement with the new album .
Instead, it sounds quiet , conversational and inspired with a series of songs that seem to have come straight from your heart.

Adele's strength lies in her ability to turn her emotions into universal and elegant 4-5 minute pop-ballads. Because she is able to do this, she has resonated with so many people across every possible demographic. '25' is an album reviewers are making the dangerous mistake of trying too hard to compare to 21, instead of actually assessing it on it's own merits.

'25' is an album reviewers are making the dangerous mistake of trying too hard to compare to 21, instead of actually assessing it on it's own merits.

Sonically, this album is far different to her previous efforts '19' and '21', with the exception of "River Lea" and "All I ask". She is free, she has allowed herself to have more fun and to experience more. Speaking to Rolling Stone about the album, Paul Epworth said that "Their goal on the album was exploring the “weirdest sounds” possible on a centrist pop-vocal album and not being so “anachronistic” as they were on 21", and you can definitely tell. "I Miss You" is a great example of that, it has a slick ghost like Florence and the machine beat that see's Adele owning her sexuality in a way we haven't seen from her before. The songs that stand out to me, and that I think will become classics are "When We Were Young", "All I Ask" and "Sweetest Devotion". These songs are 'Adele songs', they are delivered with complete sincerity, have an emotional impact that fans will allow into their lives for a long time, much like "Someone Like You".

Overall this is an album that isn't aiming to put into any particular genre, it is an album making a statement, it is an album that you can pick up in 25 (forgive me, I had to) years from now, and play and instantly be taken aback by just how incredible it is.

In my opinion, you can't really compare this to 21, because it comes from a much different place and is the perfect ending to her age themed albums. Hello, When We Were Young, Million Years Ago, and All I Ask are future classic potential. And it's very rare to say there are future classics on a modern pop album these days.

Vocally, she sounds better than ever and she continues to prove why she's in another lane from everyone else. Anyone can make this type of music, but only she can sell it to you this way with her voice.

Great Album and worth the wait. Stand out tracks for me are Send My Love (To Your New Lover), Hello, Water Under the Bridge, When We Were Young, River Lea and Sweetest Devotion. It was always going to be hard following 21, but for me its a more than worthy follow up. Send My Love (To Your New Lover) i am hoping will get an offical single release, its an equal highlight along with Hello.

Adele is back this time with a stronger voice and a very solid record. "25" isn't another heartbreak album, it's a make-up album. "25" isn't another heartbreak album, it's a make-up album. A make-up album that begs to make up for all the lost time, all the lost people. The album opens up with the (iconic and triumphant return) line "hello it's me" from the lead single "Hello", a ballad that reaches out to the loved ones and asks for their forgiveness. The first surprise is the Max Martin and Shellback produced track that gives Adele a poppy sound that suits her very well. Another upbeat song is "Water Under The Bridge" which is, in my opinion, a huge brilliant song, and a potential single. Although it's not a heartbreak record, it's full of strong ballads, like the Bruno Mars penned track "All I Ask", a remarkable song that proves that Adele has the strongest voice in the music industry these days. "When We Were Young" finds Adele reminiscing about the past in hauntingly beautiful lyrics. It's the song that defines the album the most. "Million Years Ago" takes Adele back to her "19" days. It proves that she only needs a guitar to make an astonishing song. Unlike "21" which ended on a sad note with "Someone Like You", "25" closes with an epic cheerful track "Sweetest Devotion" proving that Adele has overcome her sadness and found her happiness in another person, her son Angelo. "25" couldn't have been better. Expand

Singles "Hello" and "When We Were Young" remain highlights on the record, but aforementioned tracks like "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)," "I Miss You" and "Water Under the Bridge," not to mention "River Lea," hear Adele taking a welcome detour from the orchestral piano-pop formula and moving towards more interesting, groove-driven patterns.

Throughout these towering production flourishes, Adele's vocals cast an even vaster shadow: swooping, swerving, blaring brassily and cooing tenderly, a full orchestra unto itself that's theatrical, unpredictable, and dynamic.

The songs are not so much about love as the memory of love and, accordingly, there's a chasm between her aggressive vocal runs and the cautiously generalist lyrics, especially on the maudlin latter half.
