    Every song was connected in one way or another . The more you listen to this album the better it gets. This was definitely the best I've ever heard from Abel. It had me going going back and listening to songs to find stuff I missed before. This is Gold.

    The production, the melody, the beats are so flawless and incredible, which is why I give this album an 8. Abel did a good job making this album. But I never fully understand the message behind this album, or the lyrics, the contents... I guess that it talks about his sadness, loneliness and his depression from love ?

    Absolutelty thrilling! This album has a very distinctive theme and lyrically too. I was listening to the weeknd from time to time, but this album has officaly brought me to the XO.

    It reminds me of their previous albums, all united in one and surprisingly all afterhours songs sound different, but the same at the time. Amazing production job and amazing vocals

    My favorite album ever. So sad and angry that the Weeknd is not nominated to Grammy's, but After Hours will be remembered by the fans as the album of the 2020. XOTWOD

    I really love this album, the vocalization is very relaxing to listen to, and the flow of the album really shows that it's very well put together. I especially love After Hours and Faith. I like very much!!

With an album more narrative driven and even more desolation than My Dear Melancholy, the lyrics and production was not change from the typical lyrics he has written before. The difference between this and the other studio albums is the beautiful lyrics of despair and sadness as well as the production.     Great album that tells a story, production is 10/10. Abel delivers an album with no skips. It’s already went platinum with 0 features. Top songs are Escape From LA, Too Late, and Blinding Lights. There aren’t any bad songs.

    The album really is a standard amazing Abel album, he really hits home with this one, although the end of the album was not as great at the beginning. The album still delivers it's heartfelt message and make me feel the meaning of love. It made me recognize my love for Bella Hadid so much so I sent her a love letter asking if we could be together. After Hours masterfully fuses the energy of Starboy and The Weeknd's previous works to both deliver his signature style and be accessible to a wider audience.     Now, I can't wait for whatever comes next. After Hours masterfully fuses the energy of Starboy and The Weeknd's previous works to both deliver his signature style and be accessible to a wider audience. The instrumentals sound heavenly and atmospheric at times but they're grounded when necessary too, and paired with Abel's smooth voice, this album becomes his best sounding one yet.

    Furthermore, not only did The Weeknd perfect his sound, he exceeded all of my expectations for lyrical quality and then some. From the opening of "Alone Again" to the close of "Until I Bleed Out," these songs tell a story of recovery and healing, whether it be from lost love or drug addiction. Some songs are better than others, for sure, but more than anything each one feels like a chapter in something greater. After Hours is one of the most powerful stories ever told through music, and without a doubt, one of the greatest albums of the new century.    … Expand

    Genius. The Weeknd's 4th studio album, "After Hours" is a tremendous blessing to 2020. Production & songwriting are flawless, every song gives off a nostalgic, feel-good vibe, and his expressions through song leave you in awe.

    I do have to admit, though, that I wasn't very impressed by the last few tracks. And this "alter ego" he's putting on is not really pleasing to the eye.    Genius.     I do have to admit, though, that I wasn't very impressed by the last few tracks. And this "alter ego" he's putting on is not really pleasing to the eye. Nonetheless, I was impressed by everything else and will definitely keep on singing the chorus of "Blinding Lights" whenever I see lights in the dark throughout the rest of the year. 8 out of 10!

    EDIT: I have decided after 1 & 1/2 weeks to update this review and bump up this album to a 9 out of 10. 2 of the 3 things I stated in that last paragraph did not last for long. I truly am super impressed with what The Weeknd has done with this unique LP. The alter ego still is a bit unsettling, but it really mixes deliciously (sorry lol) with the sound of each track. The music videos are also pretty great too.

    You don't exactly see every artist expressing their true feelings in every piece of work nor giving it their all. And Abel Tesfaye does exactly that with "After Hours". One of the best albums of the year. Incredibly well done. (be aware, i might even bump this up to a 10!)    … Expand

    A cinematic experience which shows The Weeknd's creativity and imagination. Every song flows into another and keeps the same hedonistic theme we adore all throughout, hints of Trilogy and Kiss Land here and there which excites older fans. Definitely recommend a listen, not one song is a miss.

    One of the best album released this year. Though i did not like it as much as starboy but blinding lights has my heart. His voice is really good and soothing in the album and you can hear his emotions really clearly.

    Is your best album in terms of production, but some songs like "In your eyes" and "Hardest to love" is very simple for an artist like The Weeknd. He have a lot of potential to make incredible songs and not weak songs like I already mentioned. But overall is a great album.

    The Ideal Album: Sonically coherent, thematical, story telling perfection. Funny thing i noticed is the story moves both lyrically and sonically. Also with very high replay value.The Synth fest on the intro is my favourite piece of the album.

    This man is so talented, vocally and lyrically. really enjoyed this album and songs such as snowchild, faith, escape from LA and hardest to love are so beautiful that make this album go from a 8/9 rating to a 10. Abel never disappoints, even though his sound changes, he kinda came back to his roots in this album which i’m soooo happy about - i have been a fan of his for a long time

    The Weeknd delivers back to back 10/10 pop albums with After Hours. I really didn't think, that Abel would be able to make a pop album as good as Starboy - but he really did. The production, the vocal delivery and overall vibe on this album makes this a classic pop album. And Abel now has two of them.

    In three words- this is it. Every album he made so far, every personality. It all makes sense here. We still have 9 more years but AH is an easy contender for best album of the decade. Abel has never been this creative and real. Ever. This album is just different from anything else available today. Abel is anxious, tired, alone. Every song is guaranteed to make you feel something, but i have to mention especially Alone Again, Snowchild and Faith. For me these songs solitify Abel as, hands down, the most talented artist of this generation. If you're heartbroken, alone, anxious or tired this album is your remedy. Every song, even when some lyrics fall short , is a piece in a tale of emotions and pain that you simply cannot stop feeling the protagonist of. We are all alone together, and Abel says the words we didnt manage to describe. A solitifed living legend and a modern classic of an album.… Expand

    The best album of 2020 without a doubt, today is the 1st anniversary and I'm still trapped in the story of the red suit guy. The Weekend's voice and the production still give me chills in some moments of that night in Vegas.

    Not being bias here as a fan of Abel, but this is one of his best work since House of Balloons. Amazing productions, vocals, and lyrics aswell. I feel like the only problem with this album was that 3 part section of 80s production on tracks 9-11. Even though they're both good tracks standing by themselves, it can get repetitive listening to those tracks in order. Overall, this album is oneNot being bias here as a fan of Abel, but this is one of his best work since House of Balloons. Amazing productions, vocals, and lyrics aswell.
