This is a dreamy, sometimes queasy synth pop record with a good amount of bite beneath the wash of keyboard calm.

The perfect concoction of guitar riffs, synthesizer wails, the mullet, 1980s reverb and two awesome animals, the dinosaur and the walrus.

DINOWALRUS fuse together a perfect blend of dance punk and art funk.

When Dinowalrus get it right, they do Britrock rather well indeed. From 'Riding Eazy''s shimmering funk to the dance-punk strut of 'The Gift Shop', there's a lot to like--even if on paper it does all appear terribly clichéd.

Best Behavior is a strong record on its own merits, perhaps more so if you feel a sort of investment in Dinowalrus after hearing %, but it leaves something to the listener's imagination in order to make it truly exciting in addition to something sturdy to build upon.

The best tracks put a unique stamp on these improbable hybrids. [Sep 2012, p.75]

As a Madchester revival album, Best Behavior is, without a doubt, successful. It drips with reverb. The production is immaculate and the kaleidoscope arrangements loop and morph in vivid technicolor... However, like most drug-inspired music, it often feels unfocused, and ... rather samey here, track to track.

Best Behavior has its share of highlights, as did their previous outing, %, but fails to deliver as a long-player. In the end, what we are left with are a handful of excellent singles, and sometimes that can be just enough to get the party started.
