    The record is bookended by the heaviest tracks, and 'Uncle Frank Says Turn It Down' picks up where the opener left off. ... The middle section of the album is more explorative with the metallic, bending and flexes of ‘Europa’ creating an unnerving interlude after the ruckus before it.

    This record isn't exactly a "pleasurable" experience, and its relatively brief half-an-hour run-time may seem like a relief, but it actually somewhat undermines the tension in its brevity.

    When this album goes for the jugular it's arresting stuff for sure. The experimental/drone tracks are fine, reasonably atmospheric, but in truth I prefer this band when they've got the bit between their teeth. Full Review »
