One can’t help but be impressed with how every song is critical to Essential Tremors’ progression, each song being placed in just the right spot.

It's a fine outing from a versatile band that knows what they do best, and man, they can rock.

Conventional wisdom holds that rock and roll will never die. It’s the fist-pumping, ass-shaking, lighter-raising efforts of bands like J. Roddy Walston and the Business that ensure that axiom remains true.

It's unfortunate that these splendidly rumbustious tracks make the lumbering ballads even harder work by comparison. [May 2014, p.81]

JRW's third has enough honky-tonk brio to merit comparison with Kings Of Leon. [Apr 2014, p.98]

Essential Tremors hides some of the bands’ strongest songs in years. You just have to dig for them.

There's no fresh spin on the hoary old Led Zep-isms of Sweat Shock and recent single Heavy Bells, while more ponderous material fails to distinguish them from a competent bar band.

This is a great album by a great up and coming band. Good old school rock and roll. They'll get a lot of comparisons to Kings of Leon butThis is a great album by a great up and coming band. Good old school rock and roll. They'll get a lot of comparisons to Kings of Leon but that's not a bad thing. They not ripping off their style. Rather they have their own unique southern rock sound that is in line with other southern rock bands. Heavy bells even reminded a bit of Nirvana.....but in a upbeat sort of way. Really glad I picked up this album and I'd recommend that others do as well. Expand
