  • Summary: The third album for the British four-piece group is their first on the Fiction label.
Score distribution:
  1. Positive: 3 out of 7
  2. Negative: 0 out of 7
  1. Their seeming insanity only adds to the magic.
  2. The dizzy, euphoric racket is occasionally brought earthward by lyrics that hint at darker troubles.
  3. It's genuinely sad to note that "Everything's The Rush" sounds a little too much like hard work.
  4. Uncut
    60
Everything's The Rush plays it safer, eschewing the Cocteaus-esque material and dance-pop for a more route-one, stadium approach, hoofing it up to the big chorus. [July 2008, p.93]
  5. Q Magazine
    60
A little less light and a little more shade, though, would make them a far more fascinating proposition. [June 2008, p.138]
  6. Everything's The Rush isn't an awful record. Delays don't do awful; they just do okay, and okay might as well be called forgettable, because that's what the first part of this album is.
  7. Mojo
    40
The ultimate sugar hit: an occassional buzz but ultimately unsatisfying. [June 2008, p.103]
