Seeing Jimin, credited in all the lyrics of his first album, shows us how genuine what he says about himself and his experiences highlighted in the lyrics he composed is.     Não entendi bem o conceito aqui...não achei as faixas coesas entre si, principalmente o single que destoa muito mesmo do resto delas. As letras tão são um pouco rasas e nada muito de inovador. Supostamente para um debut album o artista deveria mostrar seu estilo ou mostrar suas cores... esse album não me disse nada sobre ele.

    Las canciones son poco buenas y decepciona que todas tengan un ritmo western y no coreano como debe ser, tomó el camino fácil. Todas las canciones están escritas por muchas personas pero ninguna está echa al 100% por el que se supone es el artista, además de que su voz es terriblemente aguda e incómoda de escuchar, llena de altos innecesarios. Una copia barata de The Weeknd.

    I heard about the album from Reddit and thought of giving it a listen since it's short. Always been fond of his voice, especially in Filter. I was impressed that he's tied together so many genres. Like synth-pop is my absolute favourite (the weekend is one of my heroes for this reason) and the title track Like Crazy got me on a tight grip.     Nothing much to say about Jimin's solo debut album, you only have to start listening to it. He exceeded my expectations on how to blew up a solo debut. He gave us something he has never done before on his solo projects as a bts member. He made this album as catharsis for what we felt 2 yrs. ago and I felt those emotions on this album.     Face-off and Alone are very forgettable songs. Set Me Free Pt. 2 could have been a great song but I don't know who decided to put so much autotune in it, it physically hurts the ears and makes it unbearable to listen, outside of that the song could've been part of Map Of The Soul: 7 album not really something I see as bold or unique, he's done it all before.

    The title track, Like Crazy is actually a really good but it feels out of place surrounded by all the other bland songs. It's the perfect song to drive to at midnight with the windows down. Loved the 80's vibe of the music, it's very danceable and the lyrics are quite catchy. I wished the album didn't eclipsed how good this song actually is.

    Overall I think Jimin failed to show new sides of him as the boldest thing he does with this album is cursing or letting a woman caress his face in the Like Crazy choreography. The album was supposed to showcase his true authentic self but for me it felt really forced and unnatural, nothing wrong with having songs with lyrics that aren't specific to a real situation but the marketing pointed to be a very honest album and this was not it.
    Previous solo songs have been more outstanding, Lie or Filter for example, and have actually shown new sides of him.
    If this album proves anything is that Jimin is still green as a solo artist and has a long way to go.    … Expand

    I will never feel bad about streaming 7 members’ releases plus bts whole discography now and then. I love their albums. Same with other releases and collaborations we got recently. I enjoy that music so I listen to it. Their music is my SAFE ZONE.

    Just listen to Alone. That says it all. The development of a story throughout the album was a sobering beauty. Each song feels well loved and well thought along with being musically sound and enjoyable.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Face was an amazing album and his storytelling throughout was so creative! And Set Me Free is such a perfect ending to the album! It goes from him dealing with hardship/hurt/breakup to the interlude (you hear him at a concert- audio taken from Yet To Come Busan Concert- to driving to a bar and taking a drink) to him singing about losing/forgetting himself and his problems in Like Crazy (probably at a bar) then it's the next morning (you hear the alarm clock) and he sings alone before he came to the realization to set himself free regardless of everything. Then he has a hidden track essentially thanking fans. Jimin did such a amazing job with his storytelling using lyrics and sound design, I can't stop talking about it. Like with his first song Face-off (I love that song) I was first thrown off by the circus music but then it starts with "I guess the blame is on me" and he calls himself a fool (he feels like a clown). It's so creative! Ok, I'm done rambling about this album....maybe....… Expand

    Absolutely beautiful album! I have been anticipating this album ever since Jimin first talked about it and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Jimin has such a versatile voice and each song definitely demonstrates that along with his creative storytelling, allowing the listener to feel the diverse emotions portrayed.

    Describo este álbum con una palabra: PERFECCIÓN. Es maravilloso el trabajo y dedicación que el artista puso en esto. Transmite sentimientos diferentes en cada canción que entre sí encajan súper bien, además de que cada canción te hace perderte en ella de una forma única. No dejo de escuchar este álbum cada día más veces de las que me doy cuenta, no me canso de hacerlo.

    Jimin's FACE album honestly expresses his feelings during the pandemic, allowing him to feel that he is well connected from Face-off to hidden letters. Various styles of singing, ranging from rough husky voices to soft and mellow voices, make you never get tired of listening to an entire album.

    Face para mi es un álbum muy completo. Contiene una variedad de ritmos y música muy bien hecha con letras muy bien escritas con las cuales Jimin nos expresa sus sentimientos y todo lo que tiene para decir, este álbum es como un renacer y un nuevo comienzo en su carrera con toda su esencia y donde nos brinda sólo un poco de todo el potencial que el tiene como artista. It is dizzying cycle of self-doubt, insecurities and personal torments ending in self discovery, acceptance and triumph.     It starts off with Face Off, a self deprecating lullaby which questions ones part in the mess that they are in. The artist faces off with himself and he doesn't like what he sees.

    Interlude: Dive plunges headlong into an illusory state where he gets caught up in his reveries of the past, trying to hold on the adulation of the crown, but going home spent, drowning in the deafening silence.

    Like Crazy takes us into a psychedelic dream of yearning to be true to oneself. The addicting synth pop arrangement gives you an illusion of being caught up in euphoria of the moment while slowly melting into dysphoria

    Alone takes you to a dizzying ride and feeling trapped in a merry go round sans the merry. Set Me Free Pt.2 is an anthem that speaks of triumph over self. It opens with the victorious chanting of the choir and the blaring of the trumpets signaling the fall of Jerichos walls, giving you a bittersweet feeling of liberation. The hard hitting rap, the cussing are very uncharacteristic of the artist Jimin and yet you want to give him a rousing applause for finally breaking free from the mold of being a kpop idol.

    Letter is the twin of Promise, but better - calming, sweet, makes you want to walk on the beach, watch the sunset and fall in love. Every person struggling needs to be inspired by this album - FACE. We all have a JIMIN in us and he articulated perfectly well our inner struggles and victories. Jimin really bared himself in face-off you hear the tone of betrayal he feels the anger, and the hurt then the interlude has such a dreamy feel like being somewhat lost floating then like crazy plays such an addictive song the more you listen to it his emotion his voice carried the feelings perfectly throughout the albumThe album or more like ep left me wanting more songs from Jimin.     Seis canciones son suficientes para disfrutar de un viaje individual (de Jimin) pero que resuena en el eco personal de cada oyente, y te deja con ganas de escuchar más y más de este artista. La voz, como el instrumento principal de cada canción armoniza con los arreglos de cada pieza entregando un trabajo que al final se estructura en un arco narrativo en el que se aprecia el trabajo y elSeis canciones son suficientes para disfrutar de un viaje individual (de Jimin) pero que resuena en el eco personal de cada oyente, y te deja con ganas de escuchar más y más de este artista. La voz, como el instrumento principal de cada canción armoniza con los arreglos de cada pieza entregando un trabajo que al final se estructura en un arco narrativo en el que se aprecia el trabajo y el tiempo invertido en cada etapa de la elaboración del álbum.

    While it’s a short EP, it doesn’t disappoint. If anything, he presents himself as a soloist with an unexpected sound for his high-pitched countertenor voice and very far from those earlier ballads we have heard from him.

    Its six tracks wrap all too quickly, and while it was specified that Jimin doesn’t consider this a full-length project, it does leave the listener craving more music in this vein somewhere down the road — it’s worth repeating that the energy of “Face-off” is one that he should consider chasing most of all.
