Green Day's Father of All... is Green Day at its most sloppy. Sloppy production, sloppy songwriting and sloppy renditions of music stylings throughout rock and roll history without doing any of those sounds, justice.

Really meh… most songs mesh together there is nothing special the only good song in this album is the first one father of all… the rest mixes together and really disappoints, and you don’t have to edit Billy’s voice it’s perfect

I honestly get this album, i do, they were going on tour, and wanted new material to play. The problem is that this screams low effort, and a project pushed out. The sound is way to pop for even a pop punk band, and the lyrics are some of the most "how you doing fellow kids" i've ever heard. The lack of even decent hooks is perhaps the thing that annoys me the most. That has always been such a strengh of Green Day, but here it might as well be 27 min. of 1564 chord pogressions with Billie Joe's iconic voice and flair absent. Pass on this one and go enjoy Dookie and American Idiot instead. Expand

To me this record sounds totally like "we're getting irrelevant, we need to make an album now". Nobody forces you, this record doesn't make fun at all listening to. The lines are cheesy, the boys don't even sound like they had fun, and the album cover art, yikes. I would even prefer "Shenenigans" or the "Uno, Dos, Tre" albums over this.

Easily Green Day's worst album. it is not bad but it is far from good or even decent. The lyrics are horrible and the instrumentals would be good if it were any band other than Green Day as it seems like they are all on cruise control for this album. Some of these songs are fun but the lyrics really ruin them. I really hope they can bounce back from this disappointment.

What. A. Colossal. Mess. This "project" had as much love into it as a divorced man with a prostitute. There is very very very little to redeem this album. Awful writing, trying to recapture their youth when they were able to handle the coke. Now their poor poor bodies cant handle it, leading to mush like this getting churned out the music factory. Don't waste your time listening to this.

This is probably the worst album i've ever listened to front to back in quite a while. christ what happened to green day. This is the most unoriginal, uninspired, going-through-the-motions cack any band of their size has attempted to pass off as a 'piece of art'. jesus, i mean if you like this, you've probably got something wrong in the head, surely?

Could've been better if they actually put some effort into it. But it just comes off as lazy and uninspired. Graffitia, Take the Money, and Sugar Youth are the better tracks, but would've benefited from some more effort.

That's what was stated on a billboard for Green Day's latest record titled "Father of All...". Look, I've never liked Green Day. I've always personally thought they were an annoying band, but that is just my opinion. This album however has reached it's overall peak of horrible. "Father of All" is hands down, the band's worst batch of tracks yet. It's only 26 minutes in length, yet it feels like an eternity. Every song I hear from this god-awful "project", I keep thinking to myself that this has to be a joke. But, even if it was a joke, it would be such a slap to the face to their fan base that have been awaiting for this album. Green Day completely throw away their signature Pop punk sound that made them famous worldwide. Instead, they make an album of garbage, annoying, and very corny pop songs that make your ears bleed. So, before I end my review, I would like to go back to what their amazing billboard says. "No Features": trust me Billie, if you had a single feature on this record, you would've been humiliated by how good it was. Any feature on the album would've helped and would've been better than this pile of ****. However, of course you didn't include any features because you know yourself that they would've stolen your so called "spotlight". "No Swedish Songwriters": Excuse me? Are you trying to tell me that you're a better songwriter than Tobias Forge or Mikael Akerfeldt? Please, I beg you Billie, don't piss me off even more. "No Trap Beats": Honestly, I would really love to listen to some trap beats right now. Finally, "100% Pure Uncut Rock". I can assure you that this is 100% Pure Trash. Did you like my banter there? I hope you enjoyed my review on this dumb album.

Quite possibly the worst Green Day album of all time. I am heavily disappointed with this new album, Green day completely throws out the sound we all love, while yes I do credit them for trying something new, this new stuff sucks! There are some memorable tracks on here like 'Stab you in the Heart' and 'Take the Money and Crawl' but overall, this album lacks direction, focus and uses to many generic voice filters like on 'Oh yeah' 'Father of all' and others. It is worth saying, at the end of the day, Green day has tried something new, and it obviously didn't quite work. That being said, I hope Green Day can learn from this and make a comeback album like Eminem did with 'Kamikaze'. Hopefully we can get another album which doesn't completely throw out Green days old sound. Expand

Father of All… is Green Day’s most recent album, and it’s a heck of a good one. I feel like Green Day hyped this album up a lot, and for the most part, my expectations were met and exceeded. Father of All… (the song) and “Fire, Ready, Aim” were both fantastic songs that I would be able to listen to again and again. Oh Yeah was the other song released as sort of a preview for this album (along with the first two) and while the music was top notch, I would’ve preferred a little less repetitiveness with the lyrics in the chorus. Meet Me on the Roof was a very fun and danceable song, and it sounds a little unlike what Green Day has produced in the past, but it totally fits them and is a welcome difference. I Was a Teenage Teenager has a nice foundation bassline, but I wasn’t sure about its lyrics, though I can get down with the attitude behind the song of just being a normal person lost in a sea of talent. Stab You in the Heart was just too much. The music almost sounded like something The Beatles would write, though they would never write the lyrics found in that song; they were just too graphic and they didn’t fit the happy music part of the song. Sugar Youth was awesome, bringing me back to the days of Green Day’s older albums, like Dookie. Junkies on a High was okay, I didn’t know about the subject matter, though the music was good. Take the Money and Crawl was a really good song until the end when they brought in a line I didn’t like and swore without a good reason. Graffitia was a great song, kinda reminding me of the last part of the song 21st Century Breakdown when it was slower but really cool. Plus the lyrics in Graffitia were pretty nice. All in all, a very nice album from Green Day. I look forward to listening to their other stuff because I’ve reviewed a small percentage of what they have wrote, and they are one of my favorite artists. All fans of Green Day will love Father of All…, as well as other fans of rock music. Highlights: Father of All…; Fire, Ready, Aim; Meet Me on the Roof; Sugar Youth; and Graffitia.

For being someone that grew up far away from the Green Day classics, I confess that I enjoyed the energy, the voice, style of this album. Is not fake and can be noticed a lot that the effort of the band to adapt to the youth of now of days has sacrificed his more mature public, nevertheless, the effort, even if it risks the main style of the band, those same risks are compensated with an explosion of energy and euphoria in the production, in charge of Butch Walker, as well as in the political and depressive humor of their lyrics. I consider that is worth hearing the evolution and adaptation of Green Day in this project.

Tbh normally I'd give it 8/10. But when I saw how many old pompous superjerks gave it zero just because the band dared to do something different than these jerks wanted, I had to give it ten.

It's not their best album, but it's fun, fresh, and really grows on you. Definitely worth a try.

Father of All Motherfuckers is a danceable, feel-good pop album with some really stellar songwriting and, after the impotent Revolution Radio and the ludicrous ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tré! trilogy, seeing Green Day branch out a bit and succeed at something different is refreshing. It’s a sign of artists with a great deal of range and imagination who are far from done surprising us.
