Where should I start. I love everything about this album especially the instrumental part. The mix of orchestral style string quartet sounds to the more upbeat guitar zound, everything is done to perfection that give more flavours and colours to the songs. It's summer so some of the more laidback, chill and happy songs like the 'Green Green Grass' fits the mood perfectly. Honestly after 2Where should I start. Honestly after 2 years of summer all we need is upbeat music and music that brings comfort to our heart. =) Expand

More introspective and contemplative than his previous two multi-platinum albums, Gold Rush Kid finds Ezra becoming a man for all seasons.

At the heart of Ezra’s mainstream pop appeal is a sense of joy that infuses his music with radiant positivity. In such troubled times, Ezra’s escapism is pure gold.

Gold Rush Kid gets better the further it moves away from the standard blueprint, into emotional territory that, if it isn’t exactly dark (happily for him, Ezra seems to inhabit a world where every problem comes with a resolution) is certainly more overcast.
